The Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report from an unidentified caller claiming he shot multiple people who had broken into his home. With the help of Clay County Dispatch, deputies were able to answer the call, which came in at 7:30 p.m. on June 4, by using the public address system. Upon arrival at the home on the 700 block of Gano Street in Missouri City, deputies ordered anyone inside the house to come out by using the public address system. “No one came out of the residenceand the deputies heard someone yelling inside and gunshots. One of the deputies knocked on the front door, and the resident opened it,” said Clay County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Manager Sarah Boyd. “The resident made several nonsensical statements about people being in his home.
