The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and Odyssey recently announced the launch of the Missouri Close the Gap Grant program. Odyssey, a platform helping states connect to families in order to help find funding for education expenses in partnership with DESE and is offering families with students who reside in Missouri a one-time grant of up to $1,500 for education costs. According to the press release, an eligible students must be a Missouri resident and be enrolled in a public or charter school. Per the state statute, funds will be prioritized for those families with income below 185% of the federal poverty level.
