EXS – The city has hired a finance director, Vonda Floyd.

“I’ve always loved Excelsior,” she said Monday. “I live in Liberty, but I will bypass the businesses in Liberty to go to Excelsior, because I feel a lot of times the service I get there is exceptional.”

Floyd worked most recently as the account manager at Sterling Bearing Inc., Kansas City. She starts Sept. 28 in Excelsior.

“I’m excited about it,” she said.
