Douglas takes chamber reins
The leadership torch of the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce has been passed to newly named board chairman, Abigail Douglas.
Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce Director Brian Rice recognized former chairman Bill Westerheide for his year of service, saying, “Bill is a great person and a hard worker. He will be a great mentor for the new chairmen.”
Rice said Douglas has been an asset to the chamber, aiding in the success of various committees.
“She has been an instrumental part of the chamber, demonstrating great gusto and energy, and will be a great leader,” said Rice.
Moving forward, Rice reminded members of the chamber’s mission to help businesses engage in the community, influencing purposeful change, and impacting the future for a better quality of life.
