The 14th annual Missouri Patriot Express Dice Run will pass through Excelsior Springs on Aug. 27 at 10:30 a.m. to collect a donation allocated for Fisher House KC. Rick Strack, veteran and member of the Excelsior Springs Eagles Club explained the Patriot Express Dice Run was created by the David Barr Foundation to support military members, veterans and their families. The David Barr Foundation created the Patriot Express in 2000 to support United States and Overseas charitable organizations. A veteran, Barr is a double amputee and two-time winning Guinness Book World Record holder. “The Patriots Express goes across the country and worldwide,” Strack said. This year all charitable donations raised in Kansas City and surrounding areas will be given to Fisher House KC.
