The Excelsior Springs Farmers Market will host a fall festival on October 25 from 4-7 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Mill Street to celebrate a successful market season. “Since there wasn’t a big celebration this year, the market committee decided that we would devote all of our energy to the market final event of the season,” said Tammy Murphy, market coordinator. Those who attend the final market can engage in various activities, including pumpkin decorating, vend-or-treat, kids costume contest, scavenger hunt, a magic show, face painting and a bounce house. Children who win the costume contest or scavenger hunt will be awarded prizes such as Casey’s pizza coupons, Walgreens gift card, free Froyo coupons for the community center and complimentary cookies from Baking with Basils.
