ES hospital seeks more funding
The Excelsior Springs Hospital Board gathered to discuss recent financial gains while looking toward the future to secure more funding.
In recent events, the hospital asked the city to authorize an Interfund loan for the facility for $125,000 up to $500,000 to be used as a short-term cash flow for the hospital’s needs.
Kristen Dehart, chief executive officer, explained the hospital has just now received its last check of $125,000 from the city during the previous four weeks and said she appreciated the help. The hospital is still seeking funding to continue its growth throughout the community.
Although the hospital has received additional funds through the city’s Interfund loan, Dehart said they are still working diligently to secure $2.5 million from the Employee Retention Tax Credit the hospital applied for in September 2022. “Each week, I am getting a ping from Senator Josh Hawley’s office, and Congressman Sam Graves’s
