ES hosts bulky item drop-off event
The City of Excelsior Springs is organizing a free bulky item drop-off event for residents.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 11 at the Public Works facility located at 1300 South Marietta Street. To participate, residents must bring identification to prove residency, such as a driver’s license and a copy of a water bill.
This free event is being held to help residents transition to Allied Waste’s new one-day-a-week curbside trash collection service.
Residents can drop off bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, box springs, white goods including refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units, washers, dryers, stoves, cooktops, dishwashers, televisions, lamps, building or construction supplies including lumber, scrap boards, insulation, sheetrock, carpet, padding, lawn or outdoor furniture, grills and other bulky items.
