The Excelsior Springs Housing Authority (ESHA) was awarded $250,000 through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Emergency Safety and Security Grant (ESSG). ESSG, under the Consolidated Appropriations Act enacted December 29, 2022, has set aside $10 million in funding for emergency capital needs for safety and security measures. The funds outlined in the grant address crime and drug-related activity in public housing.
