Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center (ESJCC) hosted several guests during a Career and Resource Fair on June 22. Students and employees at the ESJCC are trained in a trade of their choice ranging from construction to medical or service trades, and even railroad work through the Transportation Communications Union. This federally- funded program serves Missouri youth ages from 16 to 24, offering 11 trades. When students or employees complete this free program, they are certified in their field and placed in a job with an area employer. ESJCC students immerse themselves in their studies, learning hands on what it takes to be successful in their trade. At the end of the program, ESJCC works hard to place students in jobs. Thanks to partnerships in the greater Kansas City area, the center hosted a successful career and resource fair.
