An Excelsior Springs man plead not guilty in Clay County Court this week after being arrested for an alleged road rage shooting incident.James M. Jamerson, 23, faces two felony charges including armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon by shooting at or from a motor vehicle at a person, motor vehicle or building.Jamerson entered his notguilty plea before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Louis Angles. A bond hearing was also held, but information was not made available as of press time. As of press time, Jamerson is in the custody of Clay County Detention Center with a bond of $100,000.Jamerson will appear for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2025.On Nov. 26, Excelsior Springs Police Department (ESPD) officers were dispatched to a business in the city to investigate a reported road rage incident involving a shot fired into a victim’s vehicle, according to the report.
