ESGC welcomes Hurst

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs Golf Course recently welcomed a new club manager with the hiring of Kyle Hurst. Hurst replaces Dean Berry, who stepped down after nearly a year-and-a-half with the course. The Trenton native comes to Excelsior Springs with 25 years’ experience in the golfing industry. He spent 20 years at the Tiffany Hills Golf Club in Kansas City, two years at the Liberty Hills Country Club and three-and-a-half years in the early stages of Hidden Valley Golf Course in Lawson. Hurst picked up his love for golf when he was 6 years old and began working at the local golf course in Trenton, where his desire to become a PGA professional was sparked. “I want to help to continue growing the value of ESGC,” Hurst said. “This is the best value in the Northland!” Hurst plans to add to the ESGC philosophy of finding ways to grow the game of golf through the juniors program.
