Excelsior Springs high school students and staff gathered for an assembly last Friday. Educators were recognized for achievements and students for their attendance. VU Scholarships also reveled $253,430, 646 of funds available to students. VU Scholarships, a platform that matches students with college scholarship funding through 35 different universities, was presented at the assembly, with each senior student receiving an envelope containing a personalized scholarship offer. “When a student leaves high school, the Excelsior Springs School District wants them to feel hopeful and empowered,” said Sara Wickham, high school principal, during the assembly. “We want students to have the information they need to make the best decision for their future,” she said.
