Excelsior Springs High School crowns court warming royalty

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – On Jan. 22, the Excelsior Springs High School Student Council celebrated its court warming coronation. During halftime of the boys basketball game against Oak Grove, candidates from each grade level were introduced, with a princess crowned for every grade level and the court warming queen and king coronation capping the ceremony. The 2021 freshman-junior princess candidates were Paige Crowley and Jaylenn Hudlemyer, freshman class; Naomi Beissenherz and Aliyah Hicks, sophomore class; and Mallory Millsap and Breanna Williams, junior class. Hope Chappel, Hanna Foster, Harmony Kelly and Tristan Sykes were the senior queen candidates. Andrew Harness, Daiton Love, Benjamin Starkebaum and Landen Summers were the senior king candidates. Hudlemyer was voted freshman princess. Beissenherz was named sophomore princess. Williams was named junior princess. Chappel was chosen as senior princess, with Sykes being named court warming queen.
