Excelsior Springs’ May proclamations
May highlights many topics and the Excelsior Springs community now has four more to celebrate within the city.
Mayor Mark Spohn issued four proclamations aimed at bringing about positive insight into the Excelsior Springs community during the latest meeting of the council.
Two of the proclamations were presented to council members, while the others were held for future presentation.
Councilman John Mc-Govern
was presented a prestigious proclamation – Older Americans Month for 2024.
The proclamation recognizes May as Older Americans Month, which is a special time to honor older adults living in Excelsior Springs. These individuals have had a tremendous influence on every aspect of American society and their wealth of life experience and wisdom is invaluable to younger generations.
