EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A Lawson woman died riding on the back of a motorcyle died in a wreck about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reported Emily R. Locke, 33, rode on the back of a 2017 Harley-Davids Softail Fatboy driven by Travis R. Jones, 32, Lawso

The patrol reported Alexis M. King, 20, Excelsior Springs, attempted to turn left from northbound U.S. Highway 69 onto Missouri Highway 92 on the north side of Excelsior Springs. King’s 2007 Honda Civic traveled into the path of Jones’ Harley.

The front of the Harley struck the rear of King’s vehicle, throwing King and Locke over the handlebar from the motorcycle. Both landed on U.S. 69’s pavement, the patrol reported.

Locke died at Excelsior Springs Hospital.
