Former Gov. Greitens criticizes Biden, runs for Senate
JEFFERSON CITY – Scandal-ridden former Gov. Eric Greitens announced his candidacy to replace U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, criticized President Biden’s first 100 days, slammed Blunt and praised Trump, based on reports from Newsmax and the Missouri News Network.
Greitens gigged Biden on issues such as immigration and seeking to fund “socialist entitlement programs.”
Greitens, a Republican and former Navy SEAL, chose Bret Baier’s Fox News Network show to announce his candidacy.
“I have been so encouraged by the people of Missouri that I am happy to announce tonight that I am running for the United States Senate to continue serving the people of Missouri,” Greitens said.
Greitens’ political career seemed over in 2018 after he admitted an extramarital affair with his hairstylist, who said he took lewd photographs of her and threatened to release them if the affair became public.
