Grant funding supports children at ES Early Childhood Center

Delta Dental of Missouri recently awarded $70,000 in oral health grant funding to Swope Health Services to purchase equipment for the new KidsCare dental, vision and medical clinic coming to the Excelsior Springs Early Childhood Center. “The clinic is still in the early planning phases; we do not currently have an exact open date. We are currently obtaining construction bids and will release updates on our progress,” said Angela Smart, development and fundraising director for Swope. Overseeing the clinic project is Katherine Andreasen, early childhood director for the Excelsior Springs School District, who explained Swope would be responsible for providing all services and determining pediatric providers.
