Santa Claus is known to travel by reindeer and a sleigh, for special occasions he will travel by train. The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train returned on its rails this holiday season cross-continent tour in three years and rode through Excelsior Springs on Sunday. “I was out with my group of friends watching the Holiday Train go through Excelsior Springs off of Dunbar,” said Excelsior Springs native, Robbie Farabee. “It was so cool and it was great to see so many local friends gather together as we filled our hearts with cheer while listening to Christmas music and watching the festive lights from the train glow as it makes its way towards Union Station.” Following the pandemic, the CP train raises money, food and awareness for local food banks in communities along the CP network. “I’m grateful to the CP team members who adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver two exceptional virtual Holiday Train shows and to all those who continued to donate while we kept community…
