The Excelsior Standard, Aug. 4, 2023 Jack L. Duncan, age 82, of Excelsior Springs passed away on Friday, July 28. He was born on Dec. 12, 1940, to the late Jess and Mary Duncan. He was married to the love of his life, Pat, on Aug. 1, 1959, and was widowed on Feb. 14, 2005. He was one of seven children. He was preceded in death by his brothers Tom, Jim and Charlie; and sisters, Gloria and Sue. He leaves behind one daughter, Jamie (Craig) Carr of Destin, Fla.; and one sister, Mitz Kretzschmar of Gladstone. Jack was a collector of many things – or “stuff,” as he would refer to it. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage and drinking his coffee. He also enjoyed driving around to visit with his friends. When leaving the house, Pat would ask him if he was going to “run traps.” With a smile on his face, he always enjoyed telling that story.
