The Liberty Hospital board of trustees voted on Oct. 19 to partner with the University of Kansas (KU) Health System. After the board’s decision, a press release was made public by Liberty Hospital saying that the extensive process that began in May has finally ended. The board then decided that their decision marks a key milestone within Liberty Hospital’s search for a strategic partner. The release pointed out that within the coming days, leaders from Liberty Hospital and the KU health system will come together to finalize a nonbinding Letter of Intent to define their alignment while also determining shared goals to strengthen their partnership and beginning the remaining terms for a final agreement.
