A family-owned transportation company in Excelsior Springs recently welcomed a visit from U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer as part of her nationwide tour to meet with businesses and employees.Waller Truck Co., Inc. was selected by the Department of Labor to represent the transportation industry in Missouri. The company was one of only two businesses in the state chosen for the initiative, which aims to give federal officials direct insight into the challenges and opportunities facing employers and workers.Three generations of the Waller family joined company employees to greet Chavez-DeRemer. The secretary toured the facility, spoke with both new and longtime team members, and met drivers in orientation.
