MFCF awards 4-H Club grants to youth to help end neighborhood hunger

Missouri 4-H Clubs throughout the state have been awarded the 2024 “Drive to Feed Kids” grants through the Missouri Farmers Care Foundation (MFCF), including local groups from Excelsior Springs, Lawson and Rayville. According to a recent press release, MFCF and Missouri 4-H partner annually through the Drive to Feed Kids and the 4-H Feeding Missouri initiatives to raise funds, spread awareness, and gather resources surrounding food insecurity throughout the region. In 2023, all four of the organizations collaborated, raising over 1.2 million meals for people across the state facing hunger. This year, 24 4-H clubs received grantmatching funds to address hunger locally. Each club, including the Millville 4-H from Excelsior Springs, Olde Tyme 4-H from Rayville, and Lawson 4-H from Lawson, has received $250 in matching funds to address needs due to food insecurities within their communities. “The hard work and creativity put forth by our 4-H’ers to help others in their communities…
