Mid-Continent Public Library begins loaning out Chromebooks
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Made possible by a grant administered by the Missouri State Library, Mid-Continent Public Library offers Chromebook laptops for customers to check out and take home.
Chromebook Kits can be checked out for up to two weeks with two renewal periods, if there are no “holds” from other customers waiting to check them out.
“Over the past year, we’ve seen just how important technology and connectivity are to participate in nearly every aspect of life, from work and school to health care and our personal relationships,” Chief Tech Officer Bryan Gash said. “Checking out one of these laptops from the library gives customers the opportunity to engage in these important activities – when and where it’s convenient to them – without the potential financial hardship of purchasing their own device.”
