Milwaukee Park gains traction coming into fall

The Excelsior Springs Comm The Excelsior Springs Parks and Recreation Board recently announced that grading plans for the new Milwaukee Street Park will be presented to the city for approval this fall. The grading plan for the new Milwaukee Street Park’s parking lot has been finalized through the Parks and Recreation Department. According to Nate Williams, director, the documents will be submitted for approval by the city during the Nov. Planning and Zoning meeting. Most of the funding for the new Milwaukee Park will be dependent on grant funds. Williams explained Piccadilly Galas and other avenues for funding will be utilized as the project moves forward but won’t be enough to complete the park. While the process of grant searching is underway, the Parks and Recreation Department will continue working on the walking trail until the final approval for the parking lot is presented to the city’s planning and zoning board. “We anticipate construction for the new park at Milwaukee…
