Missouri courts warn public about spoofed websites

The Missouri Judiciary has issued a warning about at least one fake website “spoofing” Case.net that may expose the public to viruses or other malware.Recently uncovered, this fake website, Casenetmo. us, appears to be run by court-related personnel, but it is not. The public is urged not to use this website, as attempting to do so may produce a message warning a virus has been detected. Appropriate law enforcement authorities have been notified and are investigating.Additional websites with some form of “Case. net” in their names, but are not Case.net include: mo-casenet.us casenetmo.net mo-case.net casenetmonet. website3.me www-casenetmo.us These other websites are not managed by or affiliated with the Missouri courts. It is unclear at this time whether they pose similar dangers.
