MO State Treasurer highlights resources for disabled persons

In recognition of National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Missouri’s State Treasurer continues a month-long effort to promote the MO ABLE program. Missouri State Treasurer Vivek Malek recently visited Vocational Services Inc. (VSI) to highlight the resources and opportunities available for individuals with disabilities. Malek also toured the facility and was provided insight into the services VSI provides. VSI is a Nationally and State certified not-for-profit organization that has provided employment opportunities and services for individuals with developmental disabilities for over 57 years. Sheltered Workshop and Community Integration Employment services are provided through VSI and the services center around individual needs and interests to support the individual’s gainful long-term employment of their choice. It is one of 89 workshop corporations located around the state of Missouri, which collectively employs approximately 6,100 people with disabilities. Malek…
