EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Missouri Press Association inducted the editor-in-chief of The Excelsior Springs Standard and the Richmond News, Jack “Miles” Ventimiglia, into the Missouri Newspaper Hall of Fame on Sept. 24.
His induction took place during the Missouri Press Association’s 155th Annual Convention and Trade Show at The Elms Hotel and Spa.
“As my career in journalism winds down, receiving this recognition from my peers lifts me up,” Ventimiglia, 66, said. “This is truly an honor for which I am grateful to the association’s selection committee; to our publisher, Brian Rice, for submitting the nomination; and to my wife and family. This is truly an honor.”
Established in 1991 by the association, the 2021 Hall of Fame class was the 31st group inducted.
