A free outreach benefit concert is being planned for Aug. 19 from 3-8:30 p.m. at Excelsior Springs Oasis Outreach Ministries, which is partnering with Calvary Christian Union Church for the event. The benefit will be featuring award-winning music artists including Donna Kilmurray, Carrie Bates, Greg McDougal, Steve Perry, Doug Hodges, Alan Burch and Mc’d by Sonshine Road. Oasis Outreach Ministries is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization with a mission focused on reaching people in need of hope and encouragement found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their mission is to provide youth and family programs while encouraging community involvement. Rachelle Sonshine, singer in the musical group Mc’d by Sonshine Road, said God told them to go on the road and share their testimonies through music.
