Allegations hit the fan while outgoing Emergency Management Services Director Carl Harper talked about helping his expected replacement, Hardin Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Dickey, settle into the job.
The conversation started civilly, but when Presiding Commissioner Bob King asked about EMS equipment, Harper emphasized almost all the equipment belongs to EMS, not any other office. Some of his anger at the new sheriff, Scott Childers, then surfaced.
“The sheriff is bitching about the ID card printer,” Harper said, adding the printer belongs to the county, not the Sheriff’s Office. “His IDs, contrary to his ignorant…” Commissioners interrupted.
