Missourians will vote on two proposed state constitutional amendments Aug. 6. Gov. announced Tuesday that Amendments 1 and 4 will be on the primary election ballot. Amendment 1 would grant property tax exemptions to personal and real estate properties “used primarily for the care of a child outside of his or home,” a news release from Parson’s office stated. Amendment 4 would allow minimum funding increases for police forces, provided those increases are for forces “established by a state board of police commissioners to ensure they have additional resources to serve their communities” and they occur by the Dec. 31, 2026, deadline, the governor’s office stated. ...
