Area woman transported to hospital by Lifeflight

October 22, 2018—A Kearney woman was one of three injured in a two-vehicle collision in Benton County on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. N. K. Johnson reported the collision occurred when a 2004 GMC driven by Kyleigh B. Hines crossed the center line of Missouri Route 7, striking a 2018 Chevrolet driven by Heather M. Weidenhammer at 12:32 p.m.

Hines, of Warsaw, and Weidenhammer of Kansas City, Missouri, sustained moderate injuries in the collision. Warsaw Lincoln EMS transported both to Bothwell Hospital and Golden Valley Hospital, respectively. An occupant in the Weidenhammer vehicle, Kearney resident Sarah M. Everhart, sustained serious injuries. Medical officials transported her to Research Medical Center by Lifeflight Air Ambulance.

MSHP Online Traffic Crash Report Details show that all three women wore safety devices at the time of the collision.

Tpr. J. Miller, Benton County Sheriff’s Department and Benton County Fire Department assisted in the investigation.
