Excelsior Springs Police Blotter (Aug. 14 – Aug. 20)

Tuesday, August 14

4:06 a.m., Missouri Highways 10 and Y, Officer attempted to stop a vehicle, which failed to yield and left the city limits at a high rate of speed. Investigation continues.

9:37 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Kameron Green, WM, 19, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for no insurance, speeding, illegal plates and expired plates. His bond was set at $500 cash-only. He was booked and incarcerated.

1:25 p.m., 1300 block of Kearney Road, Cassandra Brown, WF, 29, and Leona Tumbleson, WF, 39, were involved in a minor accident.

1:35 p.m., 200 block of Fine St., Officers responded on a domestic disturbance. No one wanted to assist in prosecution. One party was transported to a medical facility to be evaluated.

2:07 p.m., 100 block of E. Water St., An officer took possession of a debit card which had been found by city workers. The debit card was returned to its owner.

5:08 p.m., N. Marietta and W. Excelsior Street, Salinda D. Griffing, WF, 52, and Marta R. Zucca, WF, 59, were involved in an injury traffic accident.

5:50 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave., Officer responded to the area on a report of multiple vehicles parked illegally and blocking access to the Post Office. It was determined that the owners of the vehicles were at Lewis Elementary for open house and an announcement was made to have the vehicles moved.

7:05 p.m., 700 block of Shirewood Road, Officers responded to the area with the Fire Department on a report of building materials on fire in the yard. The fire was extinguished.

 

Wednesday, August 15

1:00 a.m., 100 block of N. Thompson Ave., Officer contacted by a WF, 30, who wanted to report a sexual assault. Investigation continues.

1:12 a.m., 1700 block of Briarwood Lane, Officer responded on possible house party at the location. Officers contacted several parents who responded and took custody of the minors.

6:19 a.m., 200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, Officer took possession of a cell phone which will be logged into evidence.

6:23 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Officer recovered an item from the detention area.

9:40 a.m., 1000 block of Rowell Ave., An officer is investigating a report of child abuse.

10:35 a.m., 100 block of Corum Road, A citizen turned in a money she had found on the street.

10:53 a.m., 700 block of Park Ave., Taelor Wetzel, WF, 29, reported her son’s new bicycle had been stolen off of her front porch.

11:41 a.m., 100 block of N. Thompson Ave., Kayla Arnone, WF, 29, was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was booked and released with a court date.

12:59 p.m., 900 block of Duncan Ave., Chad Allen, WM, 44, reported equipment stolen from his work truck.

2:21 p.m., 300 block of E. Broadway Ave., Officers spoke with a party regarding harassment. The party was advised of her options.

10:55 p.m., Isley Boulevard and Temple Avenue, Collin M. Dulaney, WM, 22, was arrested for DWI, two counts of lane violation and open liquor. He was booked and released on his own recognizance with a court date.

 

Thursday, August 16

4:18 a.m., 400 block of South St., Officers responded on a domestic assault at the location. Officers contacted a WM, 56, and W, 33, who were both arrested on a 24-hour hold for assault. Investigation continues.

9:29 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Andre McIntosh, BM, 35 was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear and pay stayed fines. His bond was set at $1077.50 cash plus $1077.50 cash for fines. He was transported to Clay County to be housed on our warrant. Micki Pfeifer, WF, 45, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for endangering child welfare, failure to appear, no insurance, illegal plates and stealing. Her bond was set at $1,000 cash-only. She was booked and incarcerated.

10:23 a.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave., Officer took a report of an assault at Job Corps.

10:35 a.m., 400 block of Regent Ave., Madison Taylor, WF, 19, reported her vehicle had been struck by a trash truck and that the driver did not stop.

1:30 p.m., 600 block of Tiger Drive, School Resource Officer took a report of an assault at the High School.

1:31 p.m., 1600 block of Meadowlark Lane, An officer responded to the lobby to take a report for fraud. Investigation continues.

3:30 p.m., 200 block of Penn St., A cell phone was recovered and returned to its owner.

6:01 p.m., 500 block of N. Kimball Ave., An officer spoke with a party regarding a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was recovered.

9:28 p.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officers responded with the Fire Department to an apartment fire. An information report was completed.

10:38 p.m., 500 block of N. Titus Ave., Officers responded to a disturbance in progress. Information was taken for a report. The parties separated for the evening.

 

Friday, August 17

7:24 a.m., 69 Highway and Wornall Road, Mallory Diaz, WF, 22, and Phyliss Muder, WF, 57, were involved in a minor accident at the location.

8:26 a.m., 500 block of S. Kimball Road, Officer responded to the lobby to take a report for burglary. Investigation continues.

10:19 a.m., 1900 block of Wornall Road, Officers responded on a 911 hang up call, as well as a call from a passerby of a possible disturbance involving child custody. Contact was made with a WM, 25, and a WF, 24, who were involved in an altercation. Information was taken for a report.

10:31 a.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Road, Harold Miller, WM, 85, was involved in a minor private property accident. A report was not requested at this time.

11:20 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Vernon Porter, WM, 40, was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant for illegal plates. He was booked in with a cash-only bond of $500.

2:43 p.m., 1000 block of Miss Belle St., Officers responded to the residence on a report of a disturbance. Information was obtained for a report for domestic assault. Nobody wished to assist in prosecution.

3:31 p.m., 600 block of Tiger Drive, School Resource Officer took a report for an assault which occurred.

7:36 p.m., 1100 block of W. Forest Lane, Officer took a report for domestic assault.

7:41 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Officer recovered a wallet that was found at the BBQ Contest. The wallet was returned to its owner.

8:41 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Officers responded to the Broadway Bar and Grill on a report a male patron was attempting to leave the bar without paying his tab and was yelling at the bartender. He paid his tab and left the area.

9:37 p.m., 100 block of Woods Ave., A WM, 57, was arrested for domestic assault.

 

Saturday, August 18

1:11 a.m., 100 block of W. Broadway Ave., Officers responded on a peace disturbance outside the business. Officers advised the disturbance was over and the suspect had already left the area.

1:38 a.m., 800 block of Bell Drive, Officer responded on a peace disturbance at the residence. Officers contacted several underage subjects and numerous citations were issued for liquor violations.

2:24 a.m., 2000 block of Kimberly Drive, Officer responded on verbal disagreement between a WF, 23, and WM, 23. The WM had already left the area. The WF was advised of her options and nothing else was requested at this time.

5:45 a.m., Orrick and Fredericksburg Road, Officers responded in reference to a motorcycle and car driving slowly in the area. Officers located a stolen vehicle sitting in the area while checking the area. The vehicle was confirmed and released to the Ray County Sheriff’s Department for follow up.

10:59 a.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Breanna Nix, WF, 24, was arrested for shoplifting. She was booked in, issued a citation and released with a court date.

12:44 p.m., 2300 block of Vintage Drive, Officers responded on a report of an assault that just occurred in the parking lot of the business. A WM, 22, was placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for assault.

3:29 p.m., 2000 block of Karlton Way, Sherrill Williams, WF, 81, was involved in a private property accident when she struck a residence. Information was obtained for a report.

6:22 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Road, An officer recovered a found license plate. The officer contacted the owner and arrangements were made to return the plate.

7:56 p.m., 100 block of Kibler Road, An officer responded to a report of vandalism. It was determined the party was vandalizing his own property and nothing further was requested.

9:57 p.m., 400 block of S. Thompson Ave., Savannah N. Burciaga, WF, 22, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Ivana J. Burciaga, WF, 24, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Robert A. Wheeler Jr., WM, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matthew A. Stephenson, WM, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. All parties were booked and released on their own recognizance with a court date.

10:01 p.m., W. Broadway Avenue and Mill Street, Shaun Bunyan, BM, 24, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for two counts of trespassing. He was booked and has a $400 cash-only bond.

10:03 p.m., 2300 block of Vintage Circle, Officers responded to a report of a peace disturbance. It was determined to be verbal only and the parties were advised of their options.

 

Sunday, August 19

10:00 a.m., South Street and Kansas City Avenue, Officers responded on a report of an assault in progress. A WF, 24, was placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for assault. Mary Bracken, WF, 37, was arrested on a parole violation warrant with no bond. She was later released to Clay County Detention for extradition.

9:32 p.m., 1400 block of Neil Lane, Officer took a report for sexual assault.

 

Monday, August 20

5:13 a.m., N. Myrtle and Henrie Avenue, Roger D. Tabor Jr., WM, 31, was arrested for driving while revoked. He was cited and released at the scene with a valid driver.

2:02 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, An officer took a report of a shoplift that occurred earlier in the day.

2:24 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Cara Esconbedo, WF, 29, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, careless driving and no proof of insurance. She was booked and released with a court date.

4:27 p.m., John and South Street, Dylan Kirtley, WM, 18, was arrested on a Ray County warrant for failure to appear for intoxicated minor. His bond was set at $250. He was transported to John’s Super and released to Ray County.

5:37 p.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officers responded to a report parties refusing to leave a residence and causing a disturbance. The parties were advised of their options and information was obtained for a report.

7:31 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress. Information was taken for a report.

10:15 p.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance. The parties were advised of their options.

11:38 p.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officer responded on a peace disturbance at the residence. Officer stood by until everything was taken care of and no additional assistance was needed.
