Excelsior Springs Police Blotter (Aug. 21-Aug. 27)

Tuesday, August 21

9:27 a.m., 100 block of Easy St., Officers responded on a 911 hang up call. It was determined to have been a pocket dial.

1:45 p.m., 1400 block of Orrick Road, Amanda Keele, WF, 29, and Anastasia Tyhurst, WF, 42, were arrested for sexual misconduct. They were booked and released with a court date. Both parties were issued trespass warnings for Excelsior Springs Parks.

6:03 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Rickie L. Lantz, WM, 52, was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for fail to appear for fail to stop at stop sign. He was also charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $225 cash-only.

6:51 p.m., 200 block of Dunbar Ave., Officer spoke with a party regarding property she owned being fraudulently listed online for rent by an unknown party. She was advised of her options.

9:16 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Joshua P. Smith, WM, 35, was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for fail to appear for driving while suspended at Jackson County Detention Center. He was released after posting $350 cash-only bond.

Wednesday, August 22

12:47 a.m., 2000 block of Wornall Road, Officer contacted a WF, 23, in reference to an earlier stealing at Walmart. She was detained on a 24-hour hold and later released after questioning.

2:21 a.m., 100 block of Crown Hill Road, Officer contacted a WM, 27, in reference to an earlier stealing in the area. He was detained on a 24-hour hold and later released after questioning.

4:22 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Joshua Green WM, 33 was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for failure to appear with a bond of $500 cash. He was booked and incarcerated pending payment of bond.

10:23 a.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave., An officer recovered drug paraphernalia which was later destroyed at Police Headquarters.

2:27 p.m., 900 block of N. Jesse James Road, A WF, 53, was placed on a 24-hour hold for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

5:45 p.m., 1300 block of Wabash Ave., Officers responded to a report of multiple juveniles fighting. The juveniles and their parents were contacted. Information was taken for an assault report.

8:34 p.m., 69 Highway and Cameron Road, Officer was involved in a pursuit with a motorcycle rider. The rider was evaluated at the scene by EMS due to an accident. Lane M. Carey, WM, 20, was arrested for felony eluding, no driver’s license, no license plate and careless and imprudent driving. His bond was set at $300.

Thursday, August 23

10:30 a.m., 69 Highway and Jill Lane, Kimberlena Kerste, WF, 17, and Patrucia Harmes, WF, 68, were involved in a minor accident.

1:20 p.m., 1600 block of Kearney Road, Victoria Maldonado, WF, 37, was arrested for shoplifting.

1:20 p.m., 1600 block of Kearney Road, Victoria Maldonado, WF, 37, was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Jonathan Scholfield, WM, 39, and Jacob Mitchell, WM, 30, were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:42 p.m., 300 block of Concourse Ave., Officer recovered abandoned property and retuned it to its owner.

7:36 p.m., Lodwick Lane and Southside Circle, Officers responded to a report of multiple parties fighting. Information was taken for a report regarding a robbery and distribution of marijuana.

8:56 p.m., 600 block of St. Louis Ave., An officer responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. The area was checked, but the juvenile was not located.

10:06 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Road, Officers responded to a report of a party trying to use a counterfeit bill at the business. Investigation continues.

11:57 p.m., 200 block of Haynes St., Officers responded to a report of a party in a condemned residence. A WM, 53, was located in the residence and contraband items were confiscated. The property owner did not wish to assist with prosecution.

Friday, August 24

12:47 a.m., 200 block of Kibler Road, Officers responded on a verbal peace disturbance at the residence. Officers contacted the subjects involved who advised the had a verbal disagreement and agreed to separate for the rest of the night at the house.

7:46 a.m., Isley Boulevard and Temple Avenues, Tammy Pope, WF, 48, was arrested for driving while suspended. She was booked in and released on her own recognizance with a court date.

8:04 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Tammy Pope, WF, 48, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for failure to appear for no proof of insurance. She was booked in a $250 bond and later released to Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

9:09 a.m., 200 block E. Broadway Ave., Officers responded with EMS on an unknown medical at the residence. Officers stood by with a WM, 54, until he was transported to the hospital for treatment. Ashley New, WF 23, was arrested on a local failure to appear for a traffic violation. She was booked in with a cash only-bond of $500.

10:08 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Jesse Washam, WM, 42 was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant for failing to answer to an order for a revocation hearing. He was booked in on a cash-only bond of $500.

11:01 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Ashley New, WF, 23, was arrested on a felony Ray County warrant for a family violation with a bond of $15,000. She was later released to Ray County Sheriff’s Office.

4:20 p.m., Patsy Lane and 69 Highway, Carol J. Miller, WF, 62, and Kristin D. Tarrant, WF, 32, were involved in a non-injury traffic accident.

7:52 p.m., 69 Highway and Patsy Lane, Traci N. Slack, WF, 44, and Monica R. Beckmann, WF, 31, were involved in a non-injury traffic accident.

10:07 p.m., 69 Highway and Kearney Road, Jacob E. Kauffman, WM, 17, and Christopher R. Roberts, WM, 29, were involved in a non-injury traffic accident.

Saturday, August 25

12:22 a.m., Isley and Calhoun Street, Officer was involved in a motorcycle pursuit which was terminated at the city limits. Information was received on the suspect and the information will be forwarded to the prosecutor for possible charges.

9:49 a.m., McCleary and Larkspur Road, Mark Donovan, WM, 19, was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and speeding. He was booked in and released on his own recognizance with a court date.

11:02 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., David Tucker, WM, 26, was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant for failing to maintain a nuisance. He was also arrested for driving while revoked, failing to yield to a police officer and speeding. He was given a court date for traffic charges and was booked in on a cash-only bond of $250.

1:52 p.m., Tracy Avenue and N. Jesse James Road, Caleb Shepard, WM, 17, was involved in a one-vehicle accident when his vehicle struck a speed limit sign.

1:54 p.m., S. Marietta and Farris Street, Shelby Schroeder, WF, 21, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. She was booked in and released on her own recognizance with a court date.

3:02 p.m., 1200 block of N. Jesse James Road, An officer responded to take information on a possible child molestation. Investigation continues.

3:38 p.m., 600 block of Lodwick Lane, Officers responded on a disturbance in progress at the residence. Contact was made with a WM, 39, and a WF, 39, who advised they were in a verbal argument and would settle down for the evening. Nothing further was requested.

4:00 p.m., 100 block of E. Forest Lane, Brandy L. Atkins, WF, 33, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for fail to appear for possession of marijuana with a bond of $500. She was transported to Clay County Detention Center.

4:20 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Nina J. House, WF, 35, was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for fail to appear for no insurance. Her bond was set at $250 cash-only.

4:38 p.m., 1600 block of Kearney Road, Amy L. Manley, WF, 33, and Susan S. McMee1, WF, 77, were involved in a minor vehicle accident.

9:37 p.m., Kansas City and St. Louis Avenues, James M. Erskin, WM, 38, was arrested for driving while suspended, taillamps required, no insurance and no seat belt. He was booked and released with a court date.

10:24 p.m., Woods Avenue and Kearney Road, Christopher T. Cechvala, WM, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and taillamps required. He was booked and released with a court date.

Sunday, August 26

2:28 a.m., 200 block of N. Jesse James Road, Jeremy Lawson, WM, 34, was arrested for driving while suspended, expired license plates and stop sign. He was released after the booking process.

11:50 a.m., 1000 block of Miss Bell St., An officer responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle. Information was obtained for a report.

3:29 p.m., Caldwell and Kennedy Avenues, Officers responded with EMS to a report of an assault with injuries. One party was evaluated at the scene by EMS. Both parties wished to assist with prosecution. Information was obtained for a report.

3:53 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Officers responded to a report of a stealing with the suspect fleeing from the business. Gary W. Wrisinger, WM, 32, was arrested for stealing. Kaylee S. Dickens, WF, 25, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Both parties were booked and released with a court date.

8:11 p.m., Thompson Avenue and South Street, Officers responded to a report of a WF in the area acting strangely. Mariah D. Ramsey, WF, 22, was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer. She was released on her own recognizance with a court date.

8:54 p.m., 400 block of Benton Avenue, Officers responded to the area on a report of parties yelling and screaming. The area was checked, but no problems were found.

Monday, August 27

1:58 a.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officers responded to the residence on a report of a disturbance. It was determined to be verbal only. One party agreed to leave for the night.

4:30 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Ashley L. Boyd-Broadbent, WF, 26, was arrested for stealing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked and released on her own recognizance with a court date

6:00 p.m., 100 block of Spring St., Misty D. Silkwood, WF, 21, reported vandalism to her vehicle.

6:28 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Justin A. Martin, WM, 31, was arrested on a Clinton County warrant for fail to appear for driving while suspended/revoked and fail to display plates with a cash-only bond of $500. He was later released to Clinton County.
