Tuesday, January 30

12:49 a.m., 69 Hwy. and Vintage Dr.: Roselynn M. Smith, WF, 35, was arrested on an Independence PD warrant for failure to appear for six animal control and traffic charges with a total bond of $2400. She was incarcerated pending extradition by IPD.

1:21 a.m., 1300 Tracy Ave.: Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity seen outside the church. The area was checked, but no problems were found.

6:32 a.m., 69 Hwy. and Vintage Dr.: Bernie Dean, WM, 55, was arrested for driving while revoked and released after the booking process.

6:51 a.m., 69 Hwy. and Vintage Dr.: Officer contacted Damien Klaben, WM, 36, who was arrested on a North Kansas City Bench Warrant. The subject was later released to the Clay County Detention Center.

7:55 a.m., 800 block of N. Titus Ave.: A vehicle was reported stolen from Luper’s Used Cars.

8:33 a.m., S. Francis and Isley Blvd.: An officer responded to check on a party who appeared to be confused. The party was not located.

9:39 a.m., 700 block of Tiger Dr.: Officer conducted a welfare check. The party was not at home, but management advised they seen her recently and she was fine.

10:14 a.m., 700 block of Magnolia Ave.: Officers stood by while Code Enforcement contacted parties who were living in a house which was stickered.

10:34 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An escort was conducted for the Finance Department.

12:53 p.m., 500 block of Garland Ave.: Animal Control issued verbal warnings for failure to restrain and outside living conditions for canines.

1:07 p.m., 700 block of Salem Rd.: Animal Control checked the welfare of a canine. Everything was okay.

1:21 p.m., 1000 block of Marian St.: Animal Control left a notice on the door in reference to a failure to restrain complaint.

1:25 p.m., 500 block of Grand Ave.: Officer spoke with a party who found a newspaper with screws screwed into it under her car tire this morning. She was advised of her options.

1:58 p.m., 200 block of Fine St.: Officers responded to check the welfare of a party. The party was fine and was given a courtesy ride to a local business.

2:38 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: An officer took a report of a theft which occurred last week.

4:13 p.m., 1000 block of Rose Ave.: An officer responded to assist Clay County.

5:21 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officers again stood by with Code Enforcement while parties left the residence.

5:24 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: An officer responded to a report of a stolen wallet. The wallet was found report number no longer needed.

5:28 p.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer responded to a request for a stand by.

7:22 p.m., 1400 block of Orrick Rd.: Officer recovered a stolen vehicle out of Ray County. The vehicle was towed and awaiting owner.

7:56 p.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer responded with EMS to a medical call. The officer stood by until he was no longer needed.

8:25 p.m., 1000 block of Rowell Ave.: Officers responded with fire on an investigation. Nothing was found.

8:51 p.m., 300 S. Main St.: Officer responded to a report of a stolen wallet. The party was advised of her options.

9:26 p.m., 100 Crown Hill Rd.: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The parties were waiting on gas money.

10:00 p.m., 200 block of N. Maple Ave.: Taquaun Lindsey, BM, 19, was arrested on two KCPD warrants with a total bond of $1,100. He was later released to Kansas City PD.

 

Wednesday, January 31

12:43 a.m., 1000 block of Isley Blvd.: Officers responded to a false alarm at the business. The building was secured and in order.

9:22 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: David Greer, WM, 35, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear on a citation for peddler/solicitor violation with a bond of $100 cash only. He was booked and incarcerated.

9:30 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: An officer contacted a family member for a party who stated he was homeless.

12:11 p.m., 700 block of St. Lois Ave.: Officers responded on a report of a student who was non-responsive.

1:07 p.m., 300 block of W. Excelsior St.: Officers responded with the ambulance on a report of a non-responsive party.

2:46 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Officer spoke with a party about a situation in Ray County. She was referred to MSHP.

3:09 p.m., 100 block of S. Saratoga Ave.: An officer spoke with a party about a civil matter.

3:17 p.m., 1000 block of Michelle Dr.: Animal Control responded on a complaint of an unrestrained canine. The owner retrieved the dog before Animal Control got there.

4:59 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officer attempted to stop a vehicle which failed to yield and left the city limits.

5:05 p.m., 1600 block of Wornall Rd.: Officer responded in reference to subjects walking on the ice and the lake. Officers contacted the subjects and they were advised to leave the area and agreed.

7:21 p.m., 100 block of Maple Ave.: Officer responded on a report of an unsecured door on the vacant residence. Officer checked the residence and secured the door.

9:15 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officer assisted in unlocking a vehicle at the location.

9:49 p.m., Wornall and Titus: Officer responded in reference to a vehicle driving in the area without any headlights on. Officers located the vehicle and it was a subject looking for a residence to make a vehicle repossession. The vehicle was located and the subjects left the area.

11:36 p.m., Broadway and Kansas City: Officer responded in reference to a subject walking around the area for some time and acting strange. Officers contacted the subject, who was just out for a walk and agreed to leave the area for the night

11:56 p.m., 1500 block of Kearney Rd.: Officer responded in reference to a vehicle driving around the parking lot of a closed business. Officers contacted the subject and he was just keeping other vehicles at the location until he could move them.

 

Thursday, February 1

12:39 a.m., 400 block of Benton Ave.: Officer responded in reference to a WF, 21, claiming subjects were entering her apartment and stealing items when she was gone. She did not want a report at the time and only requested extra patrol at this time.

7:59 a.m., 200 block of Crest Dr.: Officer responded on a report of both garage doors open on a vacant residence. The responsible was contacted and was unsure why the doors were open but will look into it. The doors were secured.

8:21 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Gregory Watson, WM, 29, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for failure to appear for no tail lights. His bond was set at $225 cash only.

9:08 a.m., 200 block of Broadway Ave.: An officer provided an escort for the Finance Department.

10:05 a.m., 100 block of Murray Rd.: School Resource Officer was given information on an incident in another jurisdiction. Information will be relayed.

10:16 a.m., 600 block of Zay Dr.: A WM, 20, and a WM, 19, were placed on 24—hour holds for burglary. Investigation continues.

11:36 a.m., Pasty Ln. and Vintage Dr.: Officer responded on a complaint of debris in the roadway. The tire had been moved off the highway upon the officer’s arrival.

11:54 a.m., 100 block of May St.: Animal Control responded on an unrestrained canine complaint.

12:08 p.m., Miller and May St.: Animal Control Officer responded to the residence on a failure to restrain complaint. The canine was released to the owner.

4:27 p.m., 200 block of Carla St.: Animal Control Officer responded to the residence on a failure to restrain complaint. The canine was released to the owner.

4:46 p.m., 500 block of Garland Ave.: Officers responded to the residence on a report of a female party causing a disturbance. The party was advised to leave and was issued a trespass warning. Nothing further was requested.

5:30 p.m., 1700 W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers stood by while a party was evaluated for a medical need during a traffic stop. Officers also assisted at the Medical Center as the party was being combative.

7:29 a.m., 1400 block of Orrick Rd.: Officer responded to the park on a report of parties present after dark. The parties were contacted and advised of the park hours.

9:04 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to the business on a burglary alarm. It was determined to be accidental by the custodian and nothing further was requested.

9:51 p.m., 200 block of N. Maple Ave.: Officers responded to the residence regarding a civil matter. The parties involved were advised of their options. Nothing further was requested.

11:16 p.m., H Hwy. and McKee Rd.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was not located.

11:53 p.m., 1000 block of Italian Way: Jacquelyn Estep, WF, 43, reported her vehicle broken into and items stolen while at work. Investigation Continues.

 

Friday, February 2

12:20 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Jacquelyn Estep, WF, 31, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear for a revocation hearing with a bond of $500 cash. She was incarcerated pending payment of bond.

1:39 a.m., 700 block of Isley Blvd.: Officers responded on a possible assault at the residence. Officers contacted a WF, 31, who advised she had been assaulted by a WM, 32, at the residence. The WM had already left the residence for the night and nothing else was requested at this time.

9:10 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An officer provided an escort for the finance department.

2:43 p.m., 1000 block of Rowell Ave.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a suspicious party sleeping in a vehicle. The party was contacted and advised he had run out of gas and was waiting for a friend to bring some. Nothing further was requested.

3:42 p.m., 69 Hwy and Patsy Ln.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was not located.

4:22 p.m., E. Golf Hill Dr. and Old Hwy. 10: Officers responded with Fire Department on a report of a vehicle on fire. The vehicle was determined to just be overheating.

4:37 p.m., 400 block of Regent Ave.: Officers responded to The Elm’s on a report of a trespasser. The subject was gone prior to officer’s arrival.

4:42 p.m., Kearney Rd. and Woods Ave.: Donovan M. Drury, WM, 21, and Travis A. Vaughan, WM, 27, were involved in a minor vehicle accident.

4:55 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a disturbance. Everything was fine and there was no sign of a disturbance.

4:56 p.m., Broadway Ave. and Thompson Ave.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a WM acting strange and possibly using drugs. The party was contacted and advised of the complaints. He was identified as the party from an earlier call at The Elm’s and was issued a trespass warning.

5:03 p.m., St. Louis Ave and Baker Ln.: Officer responded to assist a Clay County Deputy on a traffic stop with a vehicle with stolen plates reported from our city. The plates were recovered.

6:55 p.m., 200 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: Officer provided an escort for employees to their vehicles.

8:47 p.m., Broadway Ave and Elizabeth St.: Bill E. McGaugh, WM, 55, was arrested for DWI and turn signal violation. He was booked and released with a court date.

10:10 p.m., 200 block of Fine St.: Officers responded to the residence on a report of an unwanted party. The party was removed and trespassed from the residence.

10:45 p.m., 90 block of Statton St.: Officer responded to the area on a complaint of loud music. The resident was contacted and agreed to keep the noise down.

 

Saturday, February 3

1:35 a.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officer responded in reference to someone going through the trash dumpster and throwing out items on the ground. Officer contacted a WF, 53, who cleaned up the items and left the area at officer request.

6:12 a.m., 600 block of Park St.: Officer responded on a 911 hang up call from the area. Officer could not locate the address and did not locate anything out of order in the area.

7:53 a.m., 70 block of Stratton St.: An officer responded to a report of a dog in distress, in the cold. The dog was taken inside and the officer followed up with animal control.

8:46 a.m., 1200 block of Milwaukee St.: Officers responded to a burglary alarm call. The person inside the residence was looking after the house and had permission to be there.

10:38 a.m., 100 block of Saratoga Ave.: Donnie Green, WM, 49, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant with a bond of $500.

1:49 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Officer released property to a party.

4:51 p.m.: 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Office responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on private property. Officer stood by until the vehicle could be towed from the scene. Nothing further was requested.

4:55 p.m., 800 block of Rowell Ave.: Officer unlocked a vehicle for a party.

5:28 p.m.: 300 block of S. Main St.: Officer completed an information report for follow-up information regarding a Richmond PD case.

6:21 p.m., 1600 block of Kearney Rd.: Officer spoke with a party regarding threats made by a known party. A signed complaint was obtained and the other party was contacted.

7:47 p.m., Broadway Ave. and Elizabeth Ave.: Lacey R. Guerrero, WF, 27, was arrested for DWI and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked and released with a court date.

11:12 p.m., 600 block of Zay Dr.: Officer responded to the area on a complaint of barking dogs. Officer contacted the dogs’ owners and advised them of the complaint.

11:30 p.m., 500 block of Tiger Dr.: Officer responded to the area on a report of a suspicious male party. The party was contacted and everything was fine.

11:49 p.m., 200 block of S. McCleary Rd.: Heather D. Allgaier, WF, 39, was arrested for driving while suspended and driving while intoxicated.

 

Sunday, February 4

12:04 a.m., W. Springsway and Patrick Dr.: Officers assisted Clay County with a vehicle pursuit. Information was obtained for a report.

2:13 a.m., 1400 block of Neil Ln.: A WM, 41, was arrested on a 24—hour hold for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:13 p.m., Wornall Rd. and N. Titus Ave.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a possible rolling disturbance. The area was checked for the vehicles involved and they were unfounded.

1:20 p.m., McCleary Rd. and US 69 Hwy.: Madison Taylor, WF, 19, was involved in a minor accident when her vehicle struck a curb.

1:24 p.m., Concourse Ave. and St. Louis Ave.: Information was obtained for a report on a traffic accident.

1:27 p.m.: Broadway Ave. and Kansas City Ave.: A report was taken for a traffic accident.

1:31 p.m., Broadway Ave. and Kansas City Ave.: Ryan Dowdy, WM, 26, and Dakota Schrekengost, WM, 18, were involved in a minor traffic accident.

1:38 p.m., Broadway Ave. and Kansas City Ave.: A report was taken for a 3rd accident at this location.

1:51 p.m., Dunbar and Beverly Ave.: An officer responded to the area on a report that a vehicle was stalled in the roadway. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.

2:57 p.m., 600 block of Tiger Dr.: An officer responded on a report that vehicles were being driven carelessly in the parking lot. The vehicles were gone prior to the officers’ arrival.

3:44 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: An officer responded to a report of a minor traffic accident. No injuries were reported.

4:40 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: An officer responded to the police station to speak with someone regarding a civil issue. The party was advised of his options.

5:53 p.m., 200 block of Veterans Memorial Dr.: An officer responded on a request for a welfare check. The party was taken to the hospital.

7:39 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Cameron Rd.: Preston Conway, WM, 20, was involved in a traffic accident. No serious injuries were reported.

9:18 p.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officers responded on a report of an assault. A BM, 19, was arrested and placed on a 24—hour hold for assault. A BM, 21, and a BM, 21, were arrested and placed on a 24—hour hold for peace disturbance.

 

Monday, February 5

6:19 a.m., 800 block of N. Titus Ave.: Charles W. Luper, WM, 76, reported a vehicle stolen.

7:21 a.m., Commuter lot: Officer removed a roll of carpet from the roadway.

8:33 a.m., 69 Hwy. and Cameron Rd.: Officers responded on a report of a school bus driver having a possible medical emergency due to a deviation in the regular route. It was determined the driver was fine and was making additional pick-ups due to a shortage of bus drivers.

8:53 a.m., 300 block of S. McCleary Rd.: Michael Demetre Leggett Tate, BM, 37, was arrested for driving while revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal use of license plates and no proof of insurance. He was booked and released with a court date.

8:58 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An escort was conducted for the Finance Department.

9:18 a.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: An officer assisted a party with a disabled vehicle.

9:50 a.m., 200 block of John St.: An officer responded with the ambulance on a medical call.

10:19 a.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer took an assault report. No one wished to assist.

10:59 a.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded on a report of a suspicious odor in a hallway. No odor was detected upon the arrival of the officers.

11:14 a.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officers responded on a report of two men fist fighting in the parking lot. The parties were not located.

11:36 a.m., 1200 block of 92 Hwy.: Officers responded on a domestic disturbance. The incident was determined to be verbal only and no one wanted any action taken.

2:24 p.m., 100 block of Waller Ave.: An officer responded on a medical call.

2:34 p.m., Seybold Rd. and Marietta St.: Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for careless driving. The vehicle failed to stop and the pursuit was terminated at the city limits.

3:09 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Nina Morris, WF, 33, was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart. She was booked and released with a court date.

3:10 p.m., 1400 block of Neil Ln.: Officers were dispatched on a report of a domestic disturbance. All parties contacted denied any problems.

3:25 p.m., W. Springsway and Patrick Dr.: Shelia Fish, WF, 52, was involved in a minor accident while driving a school bus.

4:12 p.m., 200 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: Officer responded to a report of a possible trespasser. Nothing was found and extra patrol was requested.

4:23 p.m., Kearney Rd. and N. Titus Ave.: Officer responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance. No one was found upon the officer’s arrival.

5:02 p.m., Wornall Rd and Lodwick Ln.: Officers responded to a report of a careless driver. The driver was found and counseled on his driving.

6:22 p.m., 100 block of E. Forest Ln.: Officer responded on a request for a welfare check of three juveniles. The juveniles were not at the residence.

6:57 p.m., 1700 block of Lynn Rd.: Officer responded to a report of a vehicle driving through a yard. The vehicle was gone prior to the officer’s arrival.

7:29 p.m., W. Springsway and Patrick Dr.: Officer responded to check on a powerline which was reported to be sparking. The officer determined the light bulb was flickering, no power line down.

7:44 p.m., 200 block of E. Water St.: An officer responded to unlock a vehicle.

8:30 p.m., 1000 block of Meadowlark Ln.: Officer responded to a report of a stray dog in the cold. The dog was taken to animal control.

9:45 p.m., 1100 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to a burglary alarm. The building was checked and secured.

9:57 p.m., 200 block of May St.: Officer responded to a report of a stray dog in the cold. The dog was taken to animal control.

10:12 p.m., 400 block of Benton Ave.: An officer responded on a request for a standby to keep the peace.

11:04 p.m., Kearney and Woods: Lizabeth Krause, WF, 18, was arrested for possession marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and no headlights and released after the booking process.
