Tuesday, May 29

12:17 a.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officer responded in reference to someone looking in the recyclable bins at the business. The subject was contacted and agreed to stop and leave the area for the night.

1:17 a.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: Officer responded in reference to a subject wanting to claim some property back which he had left at the residence. The resident advised the property was-already claimed.

2:11 a.m., 69 Hwy. and Vintage Dr.: Joshua Smith, WM, 35, was arrested for driving while suspended. He was later released after posting a cash bond.

2:27 a.m., 800 block of Isley Blvd.: Officer responded in reference to someone walking around the area and acting suspicious. Officer contacted a WM who was just walking in the area and he was advised to go home for the evening.

7:02 a.m., 144th and Old Quarry Rd.: Officer responded to check to the city limits on a report of nine pigs and a large sheepdog in the roadway. The dog was observed but the pigs were not located. Clay County had a deputy en route.

7:16 a.m., 92 Hwy. and Lynn Rd.: Officers were advised of a careless and imprudent driver. The driver was contacted and she advised that she was tired from working overnight and would pay more attention.

7:31 a.m., McCleary and 69 Hwy.: Ryan Weaver, WM, 22, and Chris Murray, 32, were involved in an accident. Treatment was refused at the scene.

9:36 a.m., 200 block of Fine St.: Carol Lewis, WF, 48, reported vandalism to her residence by a known party. Investigation continues.

10:03 a.m., 1300 block of Persimmon Dr.: An officer counseled a juvenile in regard to stealing.

11:45 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Adrienne Spor, WF, 34, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for no proof of insurance, no signal and no seat belt. Her bond was set at $500 cash only. She was booked and incarcerated.

1:04 p.m., 1000 block of Hickory St.: Animal Control issued a verbal warning for failure to restrain.

1:09 p.m., Rose and N. Jesse James Rd.: An officer placed a 72-hour tow sticker in a vehicle that was parked facing the wrong direction on the street.

1:52 p.m., 1000 block of Italian Way: Officers responded and stood by while a party was evaluated and loaded for transport after making suicidal statements.

2:59 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Tracy Ave.: An officer was dispatched on a report of a careless driver. The vehicle was not located.

4:22 p.m., McCleary Rd. and W. Springsway: An officer responded to a report of teenagers riding a mini bike on the roadway and in an unsafe manner. The riders were not located.

5:51 p.m., 800 block of Corum Rd.: Officers responded to a report of an aggressive stray canine. The canine was impounded.

5:54 p.m., 1600 block of Wornall Rd.: An officer responded with the Fire Department to a report of smoke from a portable restroom at the park. Officer stood by until no longer needed.

6:44 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Rheanne L. Krantz, WF, 37, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear for speeding, expired plates and eluding. She was released after posting $1,000 cash only bond.

7:29 p.m., Lake Maurer Rd. and Victory Ln.: An officer removed a fallen tree limb from the roadway.

 

Wednesday, May 30

12:40 a.m., 200 block of Valley St.: Officers responded to a report of parties throwing trash onto a vacant property. It was determined they were moving items between vehicles and there were no problems.

12:52 a.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm. A door was found unsecured. The building was checked and no problems were found.

8:54 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An officer conducted an escort for the Finance Department.

9:26 a.m., 700 block of Crown Hill Rd.: A report was taken on a stolen iPad from the Middle School. The iPad was pawned in St. Joseph and will be recovered.

10:11 a.m., 1000 block of Italian Way: Animal Control picked up a stray canine.

10:57 a.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: An officer took report of a burglary from a storage unit.

12:27 p.m., 700 block of Northwind Dr.: Information was taken for a report regarding a sexual assault.

1:24 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: An officer responded with the ambulance to the Medical Center when a prisoner was transported for a medical issue.

1:27 p.m., Tracy Ave. and 69 Hwy.: Officers contacted parties reported to have been involved in a rolling domestic assault. Neither party wanted any action taken.

2:29 p.m., South 69 Hwy.: An officer checked on a report of a deceased deer in the highway causing cars to swerve to miss it. The deer was not located.

2:37 p.m., 600 block of Isley Blvd.: An officer responded on a report of a baby locked in a vehicle. The car was unlocked and the baby was fine.

2:47 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Tracy Ave.: James Bogart, WM, 74, was issued summonses for C and I driving and no operators license. He was given a court date and released at the scene to a valid driver.

3:30 p.m., 100 block of Woods Ave.: Officers responded to assist on a warrant service.

4:19 p.m., Fine St. and Rosealea St.: An officer responded to a report of a vehicle parked on the street without plates and a flat tire. The vehicle owner was contacted and agreed to move the vehicle.

5:00 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: James A. W. Schultz, WM, 29, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear for no insurance. He was released after posting $225 cash bond.

5:32 p.m., 69 Hwy. and McCleary Rd.: Officers responded to a report of a careless motorcycle rider. The rider was contacted and counseled.

6:03 p.m., 1100 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officers responded to a report of a single vehicle accident. One party was transported by ambulance.

6:47 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: An officer collected old ammunition for destruction at Police Headquarters.

5:05 p.m., 400 block of Bluff Ave.: Officers responded to a report of two parties inside a residence which has restricted access due to recent fire. The parties were issued a trespass warning and agreed to leave the property.

8:06 p.m., Isley Blvd. and Linda Ln.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The vehicle was not located.

8:18 p.m., 700 block of Ley St.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a WM returning to the residence when asked not to and making threats. A WM, 18, was contacted and issued a trespass warning.

9:07 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Cameron Rd.: An officer was involved in a foot pursuit with a known party with outstanding warrants.

 

Thursday, May 31

12:08 a.m., 100 block of N. Kansas City Ave.: Officers responded to a report of a party causing problems at a residence and making threats. A WM, 18, was contacted and issued a trespass warning.

12:42 a.m., 200 block of Carla St.: Officer responded to the area on a report of a water leak. The officer confirmed the address and public works was contacted.

2:13 a.m., 400 block of Hyder Ave.: Officers responded on an alarm at the residence. Officer advised the door was secured and officer could not contact the resident.

2:20 a.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: Caitlin Lake WF, 19, was arrested for possession marijuana, drug paraphernalia and headlights. She was incarcerated pending possible additional charges.

2:22 a.m., 1600 block of Kearney Rd.: Officers along with the fire department were dispatched to a fire alarm at the business. The response was cancelled prior to arrival by the business owner.

5:24 a.m., 100 block of E. Forest Ln.: Officer responded and checked he welfare of a WF at a friend’s request. Officer was advised everything was alright and no assistance was needed.

6:39 a.m., 200 block of Lodwick Ln.: Officer responded to take a report for vandalism and theft from a vehicle. Investigation continues.

7:19 a.m., 800 block of Seybold Rd.: Officer responded in reference to a trash can being struck and the vehicle left the area. Investigation continues.

7:37 a.m., Sycamore St. and St. Louis Ave.: Officer assisted a tractor trailer which was trying to get turned around.

10:05 a.m., 2600 block of S. 69 Hwy.: An officer responded to the lobby to take a report for burglary of a storage unit. Investigation continues.

10:39 a.m., 500 block of Caldwell Ave.: Officers responded on a disturbance in progress. Contact was made with a BF, 38, and a BM, 47, who were involved in an altercation. Both parties agreed to separate for the day and information was taken for a report.

11:07 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An escort was conducted for the finance department.

11:14 a.m., 700 block of Roosevelt Ave.: Animal Control Officer responded on a report of an injured groundhog. The animal was captured and taken to the animal hospital for treatment.

11:44 a.m., 500 block of Caldwell Ave.: An officer responded on a disturbance involving property. All parties were advised of their options.

11:47 a.m., 1200 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: Officer responded to the area on a report of a tent that’s been behind the business for at least a week. The area was checked and no one was located. Officers will attempt contact at a later time.

12:15 p.m., 600 block of Tiger Dr.: Officers responded on report juveniles were attempting to sell illegal drugs in the area. The area was checked and the parties were not located.

12:49 p.m., 400 block of Isley Blvd.: Officers responded on a verbal disturbance in progress. Contact was made with a WF, 23, who advised she was in a verbal altercation with her boyfriend. She agreed to leave the area for the remainder of the day.

1:29 p.m., 1700 block of Wornall Rd.: Officers responded to the area with Code Enforcement on a report of parties trespassing inside a condemned residence. The parties were gone prior to officer’s arrival and could not be located.

1:49 p.m., 1100 block of St. Paul Ave.: Officers responded to the residence to stand by while a parent dealt with an unruly juvenile. The juvenile was voluntarily transported to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

3:34 p.m., 1300 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: An officer recovered a credit card found at the business. An attempt will be made to contact the owner.

3:46 p.m., 1000 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: An officer spoke with a party regarding personal problems.

3:50 p.m., 1100 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer recovered an abandoned bicycle.

3:59 p.m., 1000 block of Fredericksburg Rd.: An officer responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was located and the driver was counseled.

4:00 p.m., 500 block of Caldwell Ave.: An officer stood by to keep the peace while a party collected personal belongings.

6:13 p.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer took information for an assault report. No one wished to assist with prosecution.

7:10 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call. It was determined to be from a juvenile who was having a disagreement with a friend. Both juveniles were counseled about better ways to handle their arguments.

7:17 p.m., 200 block of Veterans Memorial Dr.: An officer stood by to keep the peace while a party collected personal belongings.

7:58 p.m., 1300 block of Lake Maurer Rd.: Officers responded to the area on a report of juveniles riding a lawn mower in the street. The juveniles and their guardians were contacted and counseled.

9:32 p.m., 400 block of Superior St.: Officers responded to a report of an alarm sounding and lights seen in a vacant building. It was determined to be a faulty smoke alarm.

9:47 p.m., 200 block of East St.: An officer spoke with a party regarding ongoing problems with juveniles in the area. She was advised of her options.

10:05 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Eldon E. Tucker, WM, 26, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for no insurance and illegal plates, and he was charged with driving while suspended. His bond was set at $300 cash only.

11:00 p.m., St. Louis and S. Titus Ave.: Officers responded with EMS to a report of a single vehicle accident. One party was transported by ambulance.

 

Friday, June 1

12:02 a.m., N. Jesse James Rd. and Miss Bell St.: Perfecto D. Salinas, MM, 17, was arrested for possession of marijuana and stop sign. He was released after posting $350 bond.

1:08 a.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officer responded on a report of a party in the dumpster at the business. A WM, 36, was contacted and advised to obtain permission before being on private property.

1:23 a.m., 400 block of S. Titus Ave.: Officers contacted a WF, 37, in reference to a private property accident at the residence. Upon speaking to the subjects involved they agreed to take care of the problem between each other and no report was needed.

7:26 a.m., 1900 block of Clevenger Ln.: A WM, 77, reported his vehicle to be involved in a minor accident when it struck a fire hydrant.

7:56 a.m., Kearney Rd. and Old Orchard Ave.: Mary Adams, WF, 57, and Buffy Nordstrom, WF, 44, were involved in a minor non-injury accident.

8:56 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Eldon Tucker, WM, 26, was arrested on two Kansas City PD warrants for speed and stealing with a bond of $2,650.

11:01 a.m., 800 block of Bell Dr.: Officers responded on a report of a possible burglary in progress. Contact was made with the resident and everything appeared fine. Nothing further was requested.

11:24 a.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officer responded to the lobby to take a report of a stolen/lost license plate.

12:36 p.m., 700 block of Crown Hill Rd.: An officer responded to take a report for vandalism to a vehicle.

12:42 p.m., 300 block of S. Francis St.: Officers responded on a request from Liberty PD to check the welfare of a party who threatened suicide in their jurisdiction. Contact was made with the party and he was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

2:30 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Collin Morgan, WM, 17, was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant with a cash only bond of $250.

2:46 p.m., 100 block of Collette St.: An officer responded to the lobby to take a report for domestic assault and vandalism to a vehicle.

3:07 p.m., 2300 block of Vintage Dr.: Officer responded on a report of a vehicle parked in the fire lane and blocking thru traffic. The area was checked and the vehicles were parked legally.

3:24 p.m., 700 block of Magnolia Ave.: Officer responded to check the area for vehicle blocking the alleyway. The area was checked the vehicles were parked legally.

3:26 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Wornall Rd.: Daulton Baldwin, WM, 20, and Michael Carter, WM, 38, were involved in a minor non-injury accident.

4:57 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officer served a subpoena.

6:34 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Gabrielle R. Dixson, WF, 23, was arrested for shoplifting. She was cited and released from the scene.

7:02 p.m., 200 block of Southside Ct.: An officer assisted Lawson PD with serving a summons.

8:03 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Kearney Rd.: Brian J. Park, WM, 41, was arrested for driving while revoked and stop sign. He was booked and released on his own recognizance with a court date.

9:34 p.m., 100 block of Crown Hill Rd.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was not located.

9:59 p.m., 700 block of Park St.: Officer spoke with a party on the phone regarding a civil matter. The party was advised of her options.

10:03 p.m., 200 block of Fine St.: Officer responded to the area on a report of parties playing in a ditch. The area was checked, but the parties were not located.

11:27 p.m., 2200 block of Kearney Rd.: Officer responded to the residence to check the welfare of a juvenile. Everything was fine and nothing further was requested.

 

Saturday, June 2

12:16 a.m., 300 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Officer responded in reference to a possible disturbance. The officer did not locate any noise or disturbance in the area.

1:05 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Officer contacted a subject who wanted to provide information about an earlier incident. The information was taken and nothing else was requested.

3:40 a.m., 1300 block of Persimmon Dr.: Officer responded in reference to someone in the back yard of the neighbor’s house. No one was located in the area and nothing else was requested.

5:40 a.m., 1400 block of Kearney Rd.: Officer responded on an alarm at the business. The building was secured and the alarm was due to the power outage.

6:22 a.m., 600 block of Cannon Ave.: Officer responded on a report of some kind of dark colored liquid running down the roadway. Officer advised it was from the new mulch at the park.

7:38 a.m., 500 block of Elms Blvd.: Officers responded on a residential alarm. The building was checked and secure.

8:29 a.m., 700 block of Tiger Dr.: An officer provided a vehicle unlock.

8:51 a.m., 69 Hwy. and Vintage Dr.: Jennifer Bown, WF, 47, and Everett Rimmer, WM, 58, were involved in a non-injury accident.

10:00 a.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded with EMS on an unknown medical. Contact was made with the resident who advised she accidentally pushed her lifeline pendant while trying to reset the machine. Nothing further was requested.

11:02 a.m., 1400 block of Hospital Dr.: An officer provided a vehicle unlock.

1:22 p.m., Hyder Ave. and Grand Ave.: Officers responded on a verbal argument in progress involving child custody. Parties involved were contacted and advised of their options.

1:38 p.m., 1200 block of Michele Dr.: Animal Control Officer responded on a request to check the welfare of a canine.

2:22 p.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: An officer placed a tow sticker on a vehicle.

3:16 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: A WF, 60, reported her vehicle having been struck in the parking lot. Investigation continues.

3:54 p.m., Calhoun and Golf Hill Dr.: Officers responded with the Fire Department to reports of multiple power lines down in the area. Ameren was contacted and responded on scene. Officers provided traffic control until no longer needed.

4:47 p.m., 152nd St. and Salem Rd.: Officers responded to the area on a report of parties hearing multiple gunshots. It was determined to be from a property in the county and there were no problems.

5:08 p.m., 1200 block of W. Seybold Rd.: An officer responded to speak to a party regarding juveniles trespassing on her property and possibly harming a canine. The party was advised of her options. Animal Control was notified of the situation.

5:32 p.m., 1200 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm. The business was found secure.

5:53 p.m., 100 block of Crown Hill Rd.: An officer was contacted by parties at the business regarding an employee injured while working. EMS responded and evaluated the party on scene.

7:04 p.m., 1900 block of  69 Hwy.: Tina M. Lester, WF, 29, was arrested on an Independence PD warrant for fail to appear for child restraint with a bond of $200. She was incarcerated pending extradition by IPD.

8:07 p.m., Golf Hill Dr. and High Dr.: An officer assisted Mediacom with traffic control while repairs were completed.

10:24 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: An officer responded to a commercial burglary alarm. It was determined to be an accidental alarm by a delivery driver.

11:27 p.m., 1000 block of Isley Blvd.: An officer responded to a report of a storage unit open with no one around. The property owner was contacted and the unit was secured by the officer.

 

Sunday, June 3

2:22 a.m., Benton Ave. and Saratoga Ave.: Officer recovered an abandoned bicycle.

9:15 a.m., 300 block of Lee St.: An officer responded to speak with a party regarding keys having been taken from him by a known party. The keys were returned to the owner.

11:10 a.m., 300 block of Temple Ave.: Officers responded on a report of what sounded like children being abused inside a residence. The children were checked and were fine and it was determined it was a verbal argument. Nothing further was requested.

1:21 p.m., 2300 block of Vintage Dr.: An officer responded to retrieve a cell phone that was dropped into a sewer drain.

1:35 p.m., 100 block of Crown Hill Rd.: An officer spoke with a party regarding his daughter receiving inappropriate pictures over the internet. Information was obtained.

1:42 p.m., Isley Blvd. and Linda Ln.: An officer responded on a report of a careless driver. The driver was contacted and counseled on her driving.

2:13 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: A WF, 25, was placed on a 24-hour hold for shoplifting.

4:53 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Monica M. Watson, WF, 21, was arrested for stealing and possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance with a court date

5:10 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: An officer spoke with parties regarding a family matter. The parties were advised of their options.

5:21 p.m., Broadway Ave. and Saratoga Ave.: Officers were involved in a vehicle pursuit with MSHP, Ray County deputies and Richmond PD. Brandon W. Culp, WM, 37, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, careless and imprudent driving and resisting arrest. He was released with a court date to other agencies for additional charges and outstanding warrants.

6:12 p.m., 100 block of Dunbar Ave.: Officers responded to a report of juveniles inside the Wyman School. Open doors and windows were located, but no one was found inside. The building was re-secured.

8:04 p.m., 1100 block of Tracy Ave.: Officers responded to a request for a welfare check of a juvenile. Information was obtained for a report.

8:41 p.m., 200 block of Lovers Ln.: An officer responded to a report of a utility line hanging close to the river. It was determined to be a cable line and Mediacom advised it was a temporary line due to recent repairs.

9:38 p.m., 1000 block of Rowell Ave.: Brian E. Grayson, WM, 42, was arrested on a Parole Violation warrant. He was transported to Clay County Detention to await extradition.

 

Monday, June 4

12:39 a.m., 2200 block of Kearney Rd.: Officer responded with EMS on a report of a party having a seizure.

8:44 a.m., Park St. and Superior St.: A tow sticker was placed on a vehicle parked on the street with no license plates.

9:11 a.m., 1600 block of Kearney Rd.: An officer took a report of counterfeit money passed at Price Chopper.

11:16 a.m., Northwind Dr.: Paula Jo Chitty, WF, 39, was arrested on a Ray County warrant for failure to appear for driving while revoked or suspended. Her bond was set at $500 cash only. She was booked and incarcerated pending extradition.

11:22 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Jennifer Ann Moseley, WF, 32, surrendered on a local warrant for failure to appear for speeding. She was booked and released with a court date after posting $250 cash for bond.

12:22 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Patsy Ln.: Dylan Wyse, WM, 25, was arrested for no turn signal, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic narcotic. He was booked and released with a court date.

1:34 p.m., 700 block of Salem Rd.: Officer spoke with a party who was having problems with a neighbor. The part was advised of his options.

1:47 p.m., 100 block of Southside Ct.: An officer spoke with a party about a scam phone call.

3:59 p.m., Mark A. Gilliland, WM, 29, was arrested for driving while suspended, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was booked and released with a court date.

4:08 p.m., 1000 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: Officer responded to a report of a suspicious party sitting near the business for over an hour. A WM, 27, was contacted and agreed to move on.

4:29 p.m., E. Excelsior St. and Penn St.: Officer responded to a report of parties pushing and driving a vehicle carelessly up and down a one-way street. The parties were contacted and counseled.

4:43 p.m., 900 block of St. Paul Ave.: An officer received information for a report regarding child abuse. The investigation continues.

5:31 p.m., 69 Hwy. and McCleary Rd.: Officer was involved in a pursuit with a vehicle which failed to yield. A WM, 37, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for eluding, speeding, improper display of plates, careless and imprudent driving, and fail to keep right.

6:02 p.m., 200 block of Penn St.: Officer responded to a parking complaint involving a vehicle blocking the entrance to the ball field. The owner was contacted and agreed to move the vehicle.

6:19 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting which had just occurred. Information was taken for a report. The investigation continues.

6:45 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave.: Jeremiah W. Johnson, WM, 37, was arrested for driving while revoked and no front plate. He was booked and released with a court date.

8:07 p.m., 100 block of Richmond St.: Robert C. Boushell, WM, 32, was arrested for driving while suspended and eluding. He was booked and released with a court date.

8:57 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Robert C. Boushell, WM, 32, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for contempt of court non-support with a cash only bond of $7,690.

8:39 p.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave.: A WF, 19, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for fraudulent use of a credit device and stealing.
