9:25 a.m., 200 block of Lynn Road, Gary Wall, WM, 47, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for child molestation with a bond of $50,000. He was booked and incarcerated pending extradition.

9:50 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Jeffery Thompson, WM, 42, was arrested on two Excelsior Springs warrants for failure to appear to show cause why fines have not been paid and for failure to appear for driving while suspended, trespassing, assault, two charges of failure to appear and stealing. His total bond was set at $1,709 cash-only. He was transported to Clay County for housing.

1:49 p.m., 300 block of W. Broadway Ave., Nicholas Metcalf, WM, 22, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked and released with a court date.

2:59 p.m., 700 block of Crown Hill Road, Officer took a report for harassment.

4:24 p.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officers responded to the residence on a 911 hang up call. It was determined to be a verbal disturbance. Both parties were counseled and nothing further was requested.

5:53 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Road, Kayla J. Thorne, WF, 33, reported vandalism to her vehicle.

6:33 p.m., 100 block of Woods Ave., Officers responded to the residence on a report of a disturbance. It was determined to be verbal only and nothing further was requested.

6:48 p.m., N. Kimball and N. Maple Avenue, Catherine B. Braegger, WF, 24, was arrested for giving false information and walking restriction. She was booked and released on her own recognizance with a court date.

6:51 p.m., Main Street and Broadway Avenue, Officer took a report for assault.

8:51 p.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave., Officers responded to the residence on a report of a disturbance. A WM, 32, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for domestic assault and child endangerment.

 

Wednesday, October 17, 2018

1:42 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Derek Deal, WM, 33, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear with a bond of $279 cash-only. He was incarcerated pending payment of bond.

7:09 a.m., 1100 block of St. Paul Ave., Crystal Simpson, WF, 43, reported items stolen out of her vehicle overnight at the residence. Investigation continues.

7:54 a.m., 500 block of Linn Ave., Riley Anthony, WM, 17, reported his vehicle had been broken into and items were stolen.

2:20 p.m., Isley Boulevard and Gordon Street, Gabriel Morris, BF, 17, and Amber Lynch, WF, 28, were involved in a minor accident.

3:03 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Christopher P. Helton, WM, 35, was arrested on two Excelsior Springs warrants for failure to appear for careless and imprudent driving with an accident, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated with an accident, and failure to appear with total bond of $1,300 cash-only.

3:24 p.m., 600 block of N. Kimball Ave., Officer took a report for stealing.

4:11 p.m., 2300 block of Vintage Drive, A WF, 33, and a WF, 49, were arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for shoplifting.

5:23 p.m., Wornall and N. Jesse James Road, Information was taken for a traffic accident. Adam B. Anderson, WM, 37, was arrested for driving while revoked. He was booked and released on his own recognizance with a court date.

5:34 p.m., 400 block of Benton Ave., Officer responded to the residence on a report of an assault. Information was taken. Nobody wished to assist in prosecution.

6:22 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Road, Officer spoke with parties regarding harassment. They were advised of their options.

6:42 p.m., 200 block of S. Francis St., Officer checked the area for a runaway juvenile. The juvenile voluntarily returned home.

6:58 p.m., 1000 block of St. Paul Ave., Officer took a report for vandalism and stealing.

7:03 p.m., 69 Highway and Rainbow Blvd., Helen L. Hughes, WF, 75, and Fred K. Rohrer, WM, 40, were involved in a traffic accident.

7:08 p.m., 300 block of Lena St., Officer took a report for stealing.

7:47 p.m., 69 Highway and Crown Hill Road, Donald L. Mayse Jr, WM, 30, and Erik R. Nedblake, WM, 46, were involved in a non-injury traffic accident.

10:51 p.m., 600 block of S. Marietta St., Officers responded to the residence on a report of a disturbance. It was determined to be verbal only. Nothing further was requested.

11:59 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave., Officers contacted a WF, 34, and WM, 36, who were involved in an assault. No prosecution was requested by either subject. The left the area in different directions for the rest of the evening.

11:16 a.m., 1400 block of Neil Lane, An officer stood by with the Clay County Children’s Division while they investigated a report of a dirty house. The residence was posted by Code Enforcement.

11:26 a.m., 2000 block of W., Jesse James Road, An officer responded to take possession of a backpack which had been located.

1:35 p.m., 100 block of Southview Drive, An officer responded with the Fire Department on a report of a lawn mower on fire. Officer stood by until he was no longer needed.

5:36 p.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Tyra L. Winslow, WF, 37, was arrested for trespassing. She was booked and released on her own recognizance with a court date.

6:30 p.m., 1000 block of Miss Belle St., Officer recovered a found cell phone.

7:52 a.m., 2300 block of Vintage Drive, An officer responded to take a report for fraudulent use of a debit card. Investigation continues.

11:07 a.m., 90 block of Juniper St., Kristina Barcenas-Acosta, WF, 38, was arrested on a Caldwell County warrant for driving while revoked, with a cash-only bond of $500. She was transported to Clay County Detention Center for extradition.

12:25 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Officers responded on a report of an elderly male who was seen urinating on his vehicle’s tire in the parking lot of the business. Contact was made with a WM, 76, and he was issued a citation for indecent exposure.

1:45 p.m., 1400 block of Magnolia West Ave., An officer responded to take a report for stealing. Information was taken for a report.

6:48 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Road, Officers responded to a complaint of possible drug activity. No one was contacted at the residence.

7:15 p.m., 1000 block of St. Louis Ave., Kaitlin L. Speiser, WF, 27, reported personal items stolen. The investigation continues

9:38 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Road, Rickey A. Barraza, WM, 32, was arrested for driving while suspended and speeding. He was booked and released with a court date.

11:50 a.m., 500 block of Garland Ave., An officer responded to the lobby to take a report for vandalism to a vehicle. Investigation continues.

11:50 a.m., 1000 block of Frontier St., An officer responded on a noise complaint. The resident was contacted and advised of the complaint and agreed to turn the music down.

4:07 p.m., N. Jesse James Road and Rowell Avenue, A WM, 50, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

5:49 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Kyle R. Elliott, WM, 17, was arrested for stealing. He was released after posting bond of $500. Charla D. Elliott, WF, 18, was arrested for disobeying a lawful order. She was booked and released with a court date.

9:12 p.m., 1000 block of Martin Ave., Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in progress. Information was obtained for a report regarding Domestic Violence assault.

9:56 p.m., 100 block of W. Excelsior St., Officer checked the area for a male party who allegedly urinated in the front yard. The party was not located.

11:11 p.m., 500 block of E. Excelsior St., Officers responded to the area on a report of an unknown object on fire. It was determined to be a mattress. The fire was extinguished.

11:21 p.m., 400 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Clinton R. Robertson, WM, 24, was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for failure to appear for vandalism, trespass, two counts of assault, and failure to appear with bond of $100 cash-only. Additional charges are pending.

11:50 p.m., 400 block of E. Excelsior St., Alicia N. Thayer, WF, 22, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia with bond of $250.

9:57 a.m., 2300 block of Vintage Court, A party came to Police Headquarters and turned in a $100 bill that had been found in the Waffle House parking lot. The bill was counterfeit and was disposed of at PHQ.

4:22 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Karen E. Glidden, WF, 48, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear for unpaid fines. She was booked and released after posting $145 cash bond.

 

Monday, October 22, 2018

12:39 a.m., 2100 block of Lynn Road, Officers responded to a report of an unrestrained canine which was being aggressive. The owner was contacted and the canine was contained and a citation was issued.

2:33 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Abel A. Belkonen, WM, 25, was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear with bond of $500 cash-only.

5:23 a.m., 100 block of Crown Hill Road, Officer assisted a motorist with a flat tire.

6:57 a.m., 1600 block of Kearney Road, Larry T. Runions, WM, 69, and Antonio E. Martinez, HM, 18, were involved in a non-injury traffic accident.

7:34 a.m., Marietta and River Street, Andrew King, WM, 20, was arrested on a Ray County warrant for failing to provide insurance. He was booked in with a bond of $1,000 and was later released to Ray County.

2:38 p.m., 400 block of Zay Drive, Officer responded on a minor traffic accident. Both parties involved agreed to handle the issue amongst themselves and a report was not requested at this time.

2:47 p.m., Isley Boulevard and Golf Hill Drive, Officer responded on a report of a power pole which had been struck by construction crew which caused a small grass fire. It was determined the incident occurred outside the city and an officer stood by until Ray County arrived.

3:57 p.m., 1000 block of Rose Ave., An officer spoke with a party regarding harassment. The party was advised of her options. A trespass warning was requested.

4:29 p.m., 1000 block of Magnolia West Ave., Travis L. Guthrie, WM, 32, reported items stolen from his vehicle. The investigation continues.

4:53 p.m., 100 block of W. Line St., An officer spoke with a party regarding receiving threatening phone calls. The party was advised of his options.

5:24 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., A WM, 24, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for assault on law enforcement officer, resisting detention, disobey a lawful order, property damage and disorderly conduct.

5:35 p.m., 1100 block of Frontier St., Melody L. Wells, WF, 37, reported fraud. The investigation continues.

5:45 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Jeffery W. Thompson, WM, 42, was arrested on a Kansas City warrant for assault with a bond of $1,000. He was booked and incarcerated pending extradition.

6:08 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Jennifer A. Hood, WF, 35, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear for vandalism with a cash-only bond of $500. She was booked and incarcerated pending payment of bond.

6:52 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Charles S. Williams, BM, 57, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for fail to appear for fail to register vehicle with a cash-only bond of $250. He was later released to Clay County deputy.

11:52 p.m., 2000 block of W. Springsway, Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. All parties involved were contacted and advised it was verbal only. Nothing further was requested.
