Excelsior Springs Police Blotter (Sept. 11-Sept. 17)

Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018

1:51 p.m., 500 block of N. Kimball Ave., Lisa Cashatt, WF, 37, turned in a Nook that had been found at her residence. She believes the item may have been left by a former boyfriend and may be stolen property.

4:52 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, An officer collected a found bank card. The property was returned to its owner.

5:53 p.m., 200 block of E. Excelsior St., An officer collected an item from the area that is suspected to be a homemade weapon.

8:28 p.m., 600 block of Highland St., Officers responded to a report of a disturbance and one party leaving the residence in an unsafe manner with children in the vehicle. Both parties were contacted and advised it was a verbal dispute over child custody and other issues. Both parties agreed to handle their disagreements more civilly.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018

8:10 a.m., 2100 block of Rhonda Road, Officers responded to a report of juveniles stealing mail out of mailboxes on their way to the bus stop. Information was passed to the School Resource Officer and nothing further was requested.

1:19 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St., An officer spoke with a party regarding fraud. She was advised of her options.

2:34 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Road, Officers responded to a report of counterfeit money. Information was taken for a report.

2:51 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Property was recovered and destroyed at Police Headquarters. Information was taken for a report.

5:45 p.m., 200 block of Southside Circle, Joshua T. Elliott, WM, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana. He was booked and release with a court date.

6:58 p.m., Crescent and St. Louis Avenue, Bobbie M. Bauman, WF, 35, was arrested on an Orrick warrant for fail to appear for equipment violation with a cash-only bond of $100. She was transported to Elkhorn Elementary School and released to Orrick Police Department.

 

Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018

2:37 a.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Joshua Farley, WM, 21, was arrested on a Lawson Police Department warrant for fail to appear with a total bond of $550 cash. He was later to Lawson PD.

8:46 a.m., 1000 block of S. Prospect St., Officers responded on a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a vacant residence. A WM, 33, was placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for possession of a controlled substance and burglary.

1:15 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Jordan Haslett, WM, 27, was arrested at Clay County Detention Center on a local failure to appear warrant with a $500 cash-only warrant. Haslett was booked in and housed at Clay County Detention.

1:33 p.m., 700 block of Divide St., Officers responded on a report of an unknown WM entering and exiting the residence several times. Nathaniel Rhea, WM, 33, was arrested on a felony Jackson County warrant for possession of a controlled substance, with a bond of $2,500. He was transported to Clay County Detention for extradition.

3:02 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Diamond Ortiz, WM, 23, was arrested on three Clay County warrants for failure to appear with a total bond of $850. He was released to Clay County deputies for extradition.

4:41 p.m., 200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, Officers responded to a report of an unknown vehicle and possible two parties camping on private property. The vehicle was located unoccupied. The property owner requested a trespass warning issued it the two parties are identified and found on the property.

4:49 p.m., 700 block of Tiger Drive, Robert E. Happy, WM, 88, reported the theft of his vehicle from the location. The investigation continues.

5:06 p.m., 200 block of N. Maple Ave., An officer spoke with two parties regarding a family member fraudulently using their credit cards. The parties were advised of their options and of the documentation required to make a report.

10:22 p.m., 200 block of Lovers Lane, Arron Latting, WM, 25, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and park hours. His bond was set at $300. He was booked and incarcerated.

 

Friday, Sept. 14, 2018

5:43 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Kyle Galloway, WM, 17, was arrested for stealing. He was booked and released with a court date.

5:55 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave., Kayla Shelley, WF, 27, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear. She was booked and has a bond of $250 cash-only.

7:37 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Kayla Shelley, WF, 27, was arrested on two Clay County failure to appear warrants with a total bond of $600. She was booked and released to Clay County.

7:56 p.m., 200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, An officer responded to a report of a party trespassing. The party agreed to leave and was trespassed from the property.

11:02 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Treece Lang, WF, 29, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear for trespassing and two counts of fail to appear. Her bond was set at $300 cash-only. She was booked and transported to Clay County Detention Center for housing.

 

Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018

12:01 a.m., 600 block of Tiger Drive, A party reported that his sons were fighting at the football field and that he needed assistance breaking it up. Upon arrival, the fight was over and the parties had left, one on foot and one in a vehicle. The parties were not located.

3:17 a.m., Sycamore and Old Orchard Avenue, Riley Proctor, WM, 20, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked and released with a court date.

9:12 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Lane Carey, WM, 20, was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant for several traffic charges. He was booked in with a cash-only bond of $500. He was also arrested for resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with a bond of $1,250, with a total bond of $1,750.

11:26 a.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Road, An officer responded on a report of a careless driver. The vehicle and driver were located and counseled. Timothy Green, WM, 27, was arrested on a Claycomo warrant for failure to appear with a bond of $500. He was released to Claycomo.

11:45 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Jack Summers, WM, 55, was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant with a cash-only bond of $250. Summers posted a cash bond at Clay County Detention Center and was released with a court date.

4:47 p.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave., An officer recovered a found debit card.

7:10 p.m., 100 block of Hickory St., An officer spoke with a party regarding her daughter being harassed. The party was advised of her options.

8:32 p.m., Corum Road and Johnson Industrial Drive, A WM, 33, was placed on a 12-hour detox.

11:07 p.m., 200 block of Fine St., Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. It was verbal only and one party agreed to leave the residence.

 

Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018

3:15 a.m., 900 block of St. Louis Ave., Officers responded on a domestic assault.

11:54 a.m., 1100 block of Tracy Ave., Officers responded on an unwanted party that was refusing to leave the residence. Officers contacted John Croat, WM, 62. Croat was given a trespass warning for the residence and was advised to leave. After refusing to leave, Croat was arrested and placed on a $100 bond for trespassing.

12:26 p.m., 200 block of N. Maple Ave., An officer responded to speak with the resident regarding her neighbor who consistently walks onto her property without permission. The neighbor was contacted and advised not to trespass on her property. Nothing further was requested.

1:29 p.m., 2300 block of Vintage Circle, Officers responded on a report of an assault that just occurred in the parking lot of the business. The suspect vehicle was located a short distance away. A WM, 17 was placed on a 24-hour hold for assault.

2:39 p.m., 600 block of Prospect St., An officer responded to the lobby of Police Headquarters to take a report for domestic violence that occurred earlier in the day. Information was obtained for a report.

6:28 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Officers responded on a report of a possible shoplifting that had just occurred. Contact was made with management who was unsure if a stealing had in fact occurred. They advised they will call at a later date if it is confirmed a stealing had occurred.

 

Monday, Sept. 17, 2018

10:16 a.m., 200 block of N. Maple Ave., Jada Savage-Williams, BF, 18, was arrested for domestic assault and on a local failure to appear warrant for failure to pay stayed fines. She was booked and incarcerated pending payment of $395 cash.

1:45 p.m., 800 block of N. Titus Ave., Information was taken for a report for stealing.

2:55 p.m., Isley Boulevard and Linda Lane, Information was taken for a report for eluding.

3:33 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway, Diamond J. Ortiz, WM, 23, was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, open liquor, and failure to appear with total bond of $1,000 cash-only.

4:41 p.m., 200 block of S. Francis St., Officer took a report for domestic assault.

4:49 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Information was taken for a report for stealing.

5:02 p.m., Isley Boulevard and Farris Street, Officer took information for a report for driving while revoked.

7:50 p.m., 100 block of Kevin St., Officers took information for a report for a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located and returned to her parents.

10:22 p.m., 700 block of Tiger Drive, Officer located a stolen vehicle parked at the location. The vehicle was impounded waiting for the owner to respond and take possession. Investigation continues.
