Excelsior Springs Police Blotter (Sept. 18-Sept. 24)

Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018

1:49 a.m., 700 block of Tiger Drive, Springfield Police Department recovered a stolen vehicle from our city. The owner was contacted and will respond to pick up the vehicle in Springfield.

8:09 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Tammy Sickles, WF, 48, was arrested on an Independence warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation. She was booked in with a $400 bond and was later released to Independence Police Department.

10:11 a.m., 100 block of S. Thomson Ave., Officer responded on a report two juveniles had just stolen cigarettes from the vehicle and had left the area on foot. Contact was made with the victim who does not wish to assist in prosecution.

11:03 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Jason Tidwell, WM, 42, was arrested on a local failure to appear with a cash-only bond of $350. He was released from Clay County Detention Center with a court date.

11:05 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Officer responded to the lobby of Police Headquarters to speak with a party regarding an issue with another party. It was determined the issue was an assault had occurred.

3:42 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Craig Hammett, WM, 22, was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant. He was booked in with a $500 cash-only bond.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018

1:51 a.m., Kansas City and Regent Avenue, Tyra Winslow, WF, 37, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She was later released after the booking process was completed by officer.

9:59 a.m., Marietta and Excelsior Street, Raymond Headd, WM, 62, was arrested on a felony Clay County warrant for failing to register as a sex offender. He was transported to Clay County Detention on a $50,000 bond.

12:04 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Officers responded to the area on a report of a shoplifting which just occurred. The area was checked for the suspect with negative results.

5:33 p.m., 900 block of Isley Blvd., A WM, 22, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018

4:52 a.m., 700 block of Park St., Officer responded on a domestic assault at the location. A WF, 40, advised she had been assaulted by a WM, 40, at the residence. Both subjects were contacted and no prosecution was requested. They both agreed stay away for the rest of the evening.

8:49 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Jada Savage-Williams, BF, 18, was arrested on a felony Clinton County warrant for property damage. She was booked in with a $10,000 cash-only bond and was later released to Clinton County.

11:59 a.m., 2000 block of Kary Lane, An officer responded to the lobby to take a report for fraud. Investigation continues.

4:18 p.m., 69 Highway and Rainbow Boulevard, Amy N. Weber, WF, 41, and Lani J. Bush, WF, 73, were involved in a minor vehicle accident. Information was taken for a report.

 

Friday, Sept. 21, 2018

1:02 a.m., 1000 block of Isley Blvd, Cristopher W. Blakely Jr., WM, 34, reported two incidents of items stolen from his residence by a known party. The investigation continues.

9:53 a.m., 69 Highway and Commuter Lot, Nichole Cannon, WF, 39, was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $250.

11:19 a.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Officers investigated an assault at Walmart.

11:25 a.m., 1600 block of Wornall Road, Officers contacted and counseled a party who had sworn at a city employee after being advised he could not take his canine into the dog park as the park is not yet open.

11:35 a.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Road, Jocelyn Caldwell, WF, 19, and Karen Thompkins, WF, 20, were involved in a minor accident.

3:24 p.m., 1300 block of Muriel Lane, Dakota L. Crawford, WM, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kelly A. Fultz, WF, 42, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both parties were booked and released on their own recognizance.

7:22 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Aspin N. Covey, WF, 20, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for failure to appear for fail to register motor vehicle with bond of $250.

7:55 p.m., 900 block of S. Marietta St., Officer responded to the area on a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located and nothing further was requested.

9:06 p.m., Greenwood Avenue and Lena Street, Michelle A. Priest, WF, 47, was arrested on three felony Ray County warrants for larceny, amphetamine possession, and dangerous drugs with total bond of $60,000.

11:11 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Christopher M. Eastland, WM, 35, was arrested on an Excelsior Springs warrant for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended with bond of $1,000 cash-only. Additional charges are pending.

 

Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018

2:03 a.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officer responded on a domestic assault at the residence. Officer contacted a WF, 26, who was detained on a 24-hour hold for domestic assault.

3:15 a.m., 900 block of Martin St., Ralph Moore, WM, 61, was arrested on a Clay County fail to appear warrant with a bond of $4,127 cash. He was later released to Clay County Detention Center. Jesse Logan, WM, 23, was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and released after the booking process.

3:58 a.m., 200 block of Veterans Memorial Dr., Officer responded on a possible disturbance at the location. Officer detained a WM, 33, for vandalism.

6:54 a.m., 1000 block of Rose Ave., A WM, 43, and a WM, 37, assaulted each other.

10:06 a.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officers responded on a report of a domestic disturbance. Parties involved were advised of their options.

10:26 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Michelle Meadows, WF, 48, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for driving while revoked, expired plates, seat belt, no insurance, keep right, too slow, driving while intoxicated and two counts of fail to appear. Her bond was set at $2,500 cash-only. She was booked and incarcerated.

1:45 p.m., 500 block of Tiger Drive, Officers contacted a divorced couple involved in a verbal disturbance regarding their child. The child was released to the father and the parties were advised of their options.

4:23 p.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Road, Peter H. Nunn, WM, 54, reported a burglary and items stolen from a storage unit. The investigation continues.

 

Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018

2:24 a.m., 400 block of E. Broadway Ave., Officers responded with the fire department on a structure fire. Information was obtained for a report for arson.

4:27 a.m., 100 block of S. Titus Ave., Information was obtained for a report for a vehicle pursuit.

2:27 p.m., 100 block of N. Main St., Officers responded with the ambulance on a report of a party taking a large dose of medication. The party was transported for treatment. Officers recovered paraphernalia which will be destroyed at Police Headquarters

6:36 p.m., Marietta and Farris Street, Alan C. Berutti, WM, 27, and Randy R. Baughman, WM, 61, were involved in a minor vehicle accident. Information was obtained for a report.

10:14 p.m., 900 block of Dunbar Ave., Officers responded to a report of two parties damaging equipment at Kibler Park. No one was located at the park.

10:17 p.m., 100 block of Hickory St., Information was obtained for a report for a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located and counseled on her actions.

 

Monday, Sept. 24, 2018

1:30 a.m., 1000 block of Meadowlark Lane, Officers responded with EMS on a report of a party had walked into the business stating he’d been shot. It was determined he had not been shot and was just severely intoxicated. A BM, 34, was held on a 12-hour detox for safekeeping.

8:50 a.m., 500 block of Adams St., Kristina Baxter, WF, 39, reported her vehicle had been struck and damaged.

1:55 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St., Damean Simmons, BM, 39, was arrested on a newly issued probation and parole warrant for a probation violation. There is no bond. He was booked and transported to Clay County Detention Center.

2:45 p.m., Elms and Isley Boulevard, Katelyn Turner, WF, 16, and David White, WM, 29, were involved in a minor accident.

5:21 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Christopher M. Eastland, WM, 35, was arrested on a Platte County warrant for failure to appear for non-support with bond of $3,000 cash-only.

5:47 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Joshua A. Venuto, BM, 25, was arrested on three Kansas City warrants for assault, destruction of property and violation of an order of protection with total bond of $900.

5:56 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Shaun C. Bunyan, BM, 24, was arrested on a Richmond Police Department warrant for trespassing with bond of $250.

6:52 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Stephanie N. Suddarth, WF, 34, was arrested on a Johnson County, Kansas, felony warrant for identity theft with a bond of $10,000. She was transported to Clay County Detention Center to await extradition.

6:58 p.m., 200 block of N. Maple Ave., Information was taken for a report regarding the fraudulent use of a credit card. The investigation continues.
