EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Clay County Public Administrator Sarah Mills Rottgers, 41, seeks re-election. A Republican, she is opposed by Democrat Jeremy Eden, who did not return this newspaper’s questionnaire. All answers are from Rottgers. BACKGROUND Question: What are your qualifications? “I have worked for a service provider that provides care to disabled individuals under guardianship and/or under the care of the PA for the past 20 years. I understand the needs of these individuals and how best to work with them.” Question: Why are you running? “I believe my 20 years’ experience will allow me to improve the quality of care and life for the individuals under the care of the PA’s office.” ISSUE QUESTIONS Question: PA candidates need no special skill, like a law or psych degree.
