The Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is warning residents about the increasing dangers of fentanyl and the growing presence of xylazine, a veterinary tranquilizer known as the “zombie drug,” which is being mixed with fentanyl in street drugs and appearing in overdose cases locally.To raise awareness, CCSO Drug Task Force Sgt. Jeremy Fahrmeier recently presented an in-depth overview at a Substance Abuse Free Environments (SAFE) meeting.
