Santa’s reindeer approved for takeoff

The Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Director Chris Chinn and Missouri State Veterinarian Dr. Steve Strubberg announced that Santa’s reindeer have a clean bill of health and are ready for takeoff in a recent press release. Both Chinn and Strubberg have approved livestock movement papers for all of Santa’s nine reindeer, adding that the North Pole applied for the permit earlier this week. For all of the reindeer to travel, the release reads that the North Pole has provided a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection showing proof of a healthy herd through a signed inspection certificate from Veterinarian Dr. Hermey Elf. It was noted in the release that although healthy and well, Rudolph had to undergo additional testing to prove he was, in fact, the most famous reindeer of all. “We love to see Santa recognize so many on his nice list throughout Missouri this year,” said Chinn. “Santa’s elves have been working hard to provide toys for all children.
