Band Director Gavin Morris said the band did a great job at the competition. He said during the season, the band battled issues including season ending injuries, rain at the worst time and school scheduling adjustments.

Although the band did not place during the competition, Morris said in a social media post their performance showed “grit.”

“Even though (they) weren’t comfortable, (they) performed like professionals and we are so proud,” he said.

According to their website, the competition featured events for teams including field bands, parade bands, indoor color guards, and indoor drum lines. The parade competition also included junior high with each school receiving an award. Competition officials divided schools into classes by enrollment.
