Carmen Smith has joined the Excelsior Springs Hospital as program nurse with its Senior Life Solutions (SLS) program. “I am so excited to work with such a great team and to be able to use my expertise to help our older population with their mental and physical health needs,” stated Smith, a registered nurse for 31 years. The SLS program “is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging,” according to the hospital.
