Statewide honor celebrates Excelsior Springs
Missourians once again showed the power of connection during Missouri Good Neighbor Week and Excelsior Springs stood out among them. For the second year, the city has been named one of Missouri’s six Most Neighborly Cities for 2025, earning recognition for its community engagement, block parties and ongoing programs that bring residents together.The annual statewide celebration, coordinated by University of Missouri Extension and supported by The Hopeful Neighborhood Project, ran from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4. This year, 42,134 acts of neighborliness were documented through 433 different campaigns, pledges, proclamations and events, making it Missouri’s largest civic effort focused on building stronger communities.Participation came from 110 cities and 86 counties representing both large metropolitan areas and small towns.
