Transient man apprehended after road rage shooting
Following a road rage shooting, an Excelsior Springs transient was identified and arrested by the Excelsior Springs Police Department (ESPD), with help from Clay County Sheriff’s Office.Paul C. Buchholz, 61, has been charged with two felonies, including armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, shooting at or from a motor vehicle at a person, motor vehicle or building.This week, Buchholz appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen L. Krauser for an arraignment hearing. He entered a plea of not guilty and requested a bond modification. Krauser denied any bond modifications until a bond hearing.Buchholz is currently in Clay County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond and will appear for a bond hearing at 9 a.m. on Sept. 24.On Sept. 12, ESPD officers were dispatched to the area of 69 Highway and Crown Hill Road on a report of a shooting.All officer and victim names are redacted in the probable...
