For generations, trucking has been more than a business for the Waller family — it has been a legacy built on relationships, longevity and a commitment to doing things the right way.

The family’s roots in the industry stretch back more than 80 years, with Bob Waller’s grandfather operating a truck in Ray County as early as 1941. The next generation continued that path when Waller’s father, Jack, founded Waller Truck Co. in 1959.

Bob joined his father in the business after graduating from the University of Missouri in 1975. Following Jack’s death in 1981, Bob and his brother took over the company, helping guide its transition from a less-thantruckload carrier to the regional truckload operation it is today. Their sister, Carolyn Zeller, was also part of the family business before her death. Bob is now the company’s sole owner.

Now beginning his 52nd year with Waller Truck Co., Bob has had a front-row seat to decades of change within the trucking industry.
