A warrant has been issued for an Excelsior Springs man after he failed to appear in Clay County Court. A warrant for the arrest of Roy C. Worrell, 50, was issued when he failed to appear in court on March 12, as ordered by Seventh Judicial Circuit Judge Karen L. Krauser. Worrell had previously been granted a bond reduction with GPS monitoring and posted a $10,000 bond through Michael J. Palmer Bail Bonds. He was originally charged with felony second-degree burglary and two misdemeanors of second-degree property damage and stealing, valuing less than $150 with no prior stealing offense. The conditions of the new bond are set at $20,000, with no option for a 10% or cash bond and release on one’s own recognizance is denied. According to the probable cause statement, an officer with Liberty Police Department (LPD) was patrolling in the area of Vintage Lane and Harvest Road in Liberty.
