Waterfest Queen reigns since 2019

Norah Craven has a distinction unlike any other in Waterfest history: a three-year reign as Little Ms. Waterfest Queen. The 9-year-old was crowned queen at Excelsior’s last Waterfest, held in June 2019. Little did she know that title would be hers for three years, as the festival was cancelled in 2020 because of the pandemic and then postponed again last year because of downtown flooding. She’ll relinquish the crown this weekend as Waterfest takes place Friday and Saturday and a new Little Mr. and Ms. Waterfest is crowned. The daughter of Student Resource Officer Kyle Craven and Lindsay Craven, Norah Craven is proud of her accomplishment and takes her role as Waterfest Queen seriously. Looking back at the competition three years ago, at age 6, Norah said she competed because she wanted to make friends.
