JEFFERSON CITY – Seeing lawmakers in masks, especially when tax dollars and budgeting are mentioned, might draw raised eyebrows and snide comments at other times, but not in the age of the coronavirus, COVID-19. Rep. Peggy McGaugh and Sen. Denny Hoskins joined the overwhelming majority of lawmakers who returned briefly to Jefferson City last week to vote on the supplemental budget. They did so with a focus on safety for themselves and others who worked to prevent the virus from spreading.
